Small and a performer!
Small in price, but big in action. This small trail cam provides great photos with a lot of other data, including GPS location, weather and feedback on the battery level. Ability to share photos is very beneficial. I recommend this trail cam as a first choice for cellular trial cams.

Good image’s
So when I received this the packaging was simple and came with everything it stated. I did buy a new 32 gb sd card which was a smart idea. I tried to use another on I had but it didn’t work. After going to the website and watching the videos, I was able to trouble shoot what was wrong and finally got it working. You do have to pay for a subscription but it’s well worth it for the season. I seen this nice 8 point and plan on going out this weekend to get it. It’s really convenient to get the pics sent to my phone instead of going to the camera and swapping cards. Would recommend.

Horrible customer service - not impressed!
This review is being submitted after almost a year of owning this product. I was excited to get this as my first trail camera back in November 2020. Set up was easy, cell service worked well even in the rural county I live in. Lots of options for adjusting picture schedule and frequency. Picture quality is not as good as what I see from other cameras, but this is significantly cheaper. I went with the spypoint camera because I wanted the option of a free photo transmission plan (100 photos per month free). I guess you get what you pay for. In July, the camera stopped sending pictures to my phone. Turns out it wasn't taking pictures anymore. I retrieved the camera and went through Spypoint's troubleshooting website. They have a very detailed troubleshooting website with lots of videos. I went step by step through it, and did everything they suggested. New batteries, new class 10 SD card (max 32 gb), updated the firmware, etc. No luck, camera still won't send pictures. Contacted their customer support by live chat (good luck getting through on telephone). Went through all of the troubleshooting steps again, they said it will be fixed tomorrow, no luck. No pictures still. Contacted them again via live chat, said I want to return for warranty (2 year warranty on camera). They said "oh no, wait, I can see your camera doesn't have ****.exe installed, I've sent that now and you will start getting pictures in 24-48 hours". 24-48 hours go by, still no pictures. I contact them a third time via live chat, say I want to return this under warranty and I'm not going through any more troubleshooting. Woman on live chat says no, we need to troubleshoot more. I say I want to talk to a manager. She ignores me and then disconnects the chat. I have now given up on fixing the camera. Worked great for 9 months, now a useless brick. Company is not willing to stand by their 2 year warranty. Buyer beware.

Works great/ Picture quality OK
After trying it out with the 100 free photos, I decided to buy the premium unlimited photos. The photo quality is not the greatest but at least I get notified immediately when motion is detected. I bought this to watch over my camp lease. So I paid an extra 5 dollars for 50 HD photos. If you have a photo you want to enhance to HD quality, just pick the picture and click on the HD option and now that picture will be a little clearer. I'm just hoping if someone walks unto my property, I'll get a clear enough face shot to identify them. I chatted with tech support about some questions I had before buying the premium and they were very nice. It took 15 minutes maybe for someone to come online but they eventually did.

Very happy witht the camera
For the price of the camera, I have been very happy with it. It takes clear pictures and the monthly fee for the unlimited plan is reasonable. The only problem I have is, it seems although I feel I have set the plan not to renew, it does! Maybe there is a step I am missing but this has happened a few times..

Excellent Cellular Security Camera
I needed a security camera at the front gate of the ranch to keep an eye on the oilfield traffic and to record deliveries and such. I started using the SkyPoint in January 2021 and it has not failed since. The key is to use lithium batteries and/or a solar charging system and a big rechargeable battery. This is a "set-it and forget it" type of cellular camera system. The only suggestion I have is to review and follow the setup instructions precisely then just reboot/power cycle the camera if it seems to have lost connection with the cell tower whenever needed. I have several other game cameras watching the gate as backup devices to the SkyPoint that require monthly inspections to check operation. IMHO nothing works better for my situation way out in the boonies on the ranch..

Works good enough & you get what you pay for
Probably a case of “you get what you pay for” here. The picture quality is just enough to let you know what you’ve got, but don’t expect a lot of detail. Reception on the cameras is decent. But remember you must get LTE service. I wanted to set these in an area where my phone was only picking up 3G and the unit would not connect. Battery life is pretty good. I put out a feed block in an area to get an inventory of what’s around and one camera took close to 600 photos the first week and only lost 20% battery life. Not bad IMO. The other issue is that these cameras wouldn’t connect with the micro sd cards I had on hand (Samsung class 10). My other two spypoints came with a Spypoint branded memory card, and those set up flawlessly. So I ordered two spypoint cards, and what do you know, they booted right up and connected. There may be compatibility issues with certain memory cards and the cameras won’t work without them, so keep that in mind. We’ll see how the subscription service goes when the free trial is over. I think spypoint offers a lot of features for the price but don’t expect it to do anything exceptionally well, compared to other premium cameras.

The model sent is not cellular as shown. The instructions are for a cellular. I waited for weeks on arrival. Mmm

Camera can’t be used in Canada. Should be advertised somewhere or not able to purchase in Canada. Glad I wasted 120$ on a camera that doesn’t work.
