Alchemy 1977 England Tarot Deck

This deck is lovely, in a gothic, passionate way. The art is exquisite. The cards are small enough to handle easily, but you will want a bright lamp to read them by, as the colors are dark, in keeping with the theme.As a long-time Oracle reader, I knew instntly this was a powerful deck. While the text for the card meanings is brief, one can obtain plenty of meanings from other sources easily available (internet, books,etc.). Enjoy, it's worth the money for the art,and if you are a Reader, it's worth it for the quality of the readings you will receive.

I loved these cards sadly they were stolen from me. Once I have the money I will repurchase. The quality is amazing and the the detail on the illustrations are outstanding.

The deck arrived earlier than expected. Personally, I love the artwork and the size of the cards. Yes, they are small and dark. However, you only have to read other reviews before purchasing to find that out. The deck is powerful, and I can't wait to use it.

Beautiful cards. A really nice size and easy to shuffle. Slightly smaller than a traditional deck. Only thing is the writing is hard to read on the cards and had Spanish and English on them and the book is the same size as the card with incredibly tiny print. If it was a full size book I would give 5 stars!

In a personal view I really like these cards, despite the flaws, because of their style and over all artwork. Plus it just clicks with me despite everything. However, below I'll list some pros and cons. PROS: - Artwork is nice overall (mostly in major arcana) and if you're looking to get a gothic/darker styled deck I'd recommend it. - Size is great, a bit bigger than a playing card and they fit nicely in the hand. - I could recommend the deck even if just for display purposes if you're not one to use darker toned decks in readings. CONS: - Most of the minor arcana cards are structured like a normal suit card from a playing card deck (where it's a copy paste image that increases for which ever number it is ) past the third card in the set, instead of symbolic art you'd find in other decks. - Despite some nice art overall there is some editing/reuse I've found in places (see attached image of same piece of art which is altered for another card in a different suit) OTHER: - Could just be used as an interesting playing card deck due to minor arcana's structure if desired.

I don't use Tarot cards, I admire them and I let their artwork inspire me when I need story ideas. The artwork is beautiful but know that there are many cards which repeat the pattern, some may not like that. It made me think of playing cards when I saw that. I would have preferred a different bit of artwork for every single card but I am not disappointed.

Einige der Bilder sehen wirklich gut aus, typisch Alchemy halt, und wer Fan davon ist, kann ruhig zugreifen. Zum Legen und Arbeiten sind die Karten allerdings wenig geeignet. Manche Bilder haben recht wenig mit der eigentlichen Symbolik zu tun. Für die Tarotsammlung allemal gut genug, aber besonders Anfänger sollten doch eher zu Rider Waite oder Crowley Toth Tarot greifen.

Arrivati nei tempi previsti ma abbandonati dal postino sul muretto avanti la porta e fortunosamente recuperati da una vicina, sono assolutamente bellissimi. Li ho comprati per il GdR e sono sicuro creeranno una grande atmosfera. Metto 3 stelle perchè dato il tipo di spedizione (credo come una lettera) ho rischiato che si perdessero e perchè la consistenza del materiale non è dei più robusti, tipo quella delle comuni carte da gioco.. spero che non si rovinino troppo presto

Fue para un regalo y les agrado, él estaba buscando desde hace tiempo este tarot. Le gustó todo, el acabado, las imágenes, todo. Llegó antes del tiempo indicado y en perfectas condiciones.

Ce jeu de tarot est très beau et l''illustrateur est un artiste. Les amateurs de culture gothique auront plaisir à en regarder les illustrations comme on feuillette un livre d'art. Mais, car il y a un mais, ce n'est pas le genre de jeu qui permette une véritable lecture. Les images de nombreuses cartes, quoique très belles, sont sans rapport avec la symbolique du tarot, ou alors avec énormément d'imagination. Des arcanes comme la force ou le jugement sont méconnaissables. En fait, il s'agit plutôt de carte à collectionner. De plus, le carton sur lequel elles sont imprimé est plutôt faible, comme souvent maintenant d''ailleurs. C'est dommage, car comme je l'ai dit, le dessinateur à beaucoup de talent.

Cards arrived quickly, these are my 6th Deck, the detail on cards are mind blowing and instantly take you in, unlike the rider Waite Deck I didn't have to spend time making them mine in order to read them, it literally just flowed through me. I can't wait for my 9am client so I can really open them up and allow the energies to flow.
