Great Atomic Solar Watch -- Stylish and Durable
I had an older style Casio Pro Trek Atomic Solar watch that had no mechanical components. I think this version is much more stylish, and I find it easier to view. But I will warn anyone buying one of these that because it does a lot, unless you have a better memory than me, you'll find yourself referring back to the included manual to learn how to do some things it's capable of. But that's more a critique of me than the product. My only real complaint is with the nightlight. It's clever in that it uses an integrated UV LED to charge the luminescent hands, but because of the angle, it really doesn't do that good a job. So nighttime viewing is not as good as with, say, the fully LCD versions of this watch. But it does everything it says, I've never had the battery run below H (high), and it's quite durable (I wear it every day and I'm both quite active and do a lot of hands-on activities that should have scratched it up a lot, and yet it still looks as good as when I took it out of the box). My only long-term concern is whether the mechanics will eventually fail (my expectations are high since my previous all LCD Casio is over 14 years old and still works fine -- including all of the sensors).

ProTrek Beauty
I've been wearing Casio watches for over 50 years and I must say this is one if yhe best looking watches they have ever made. It has many of the features the G-Shocks have withouth the super thick case. I am thin so some watches are just too large but the 6600 fits perfectly. If you look at the measurements be away they are adding the crown and buttons into the figure. I had also ordered screen savers to protect the mineral glass from getting scratched. I recommend it. PROS: Beautiful and masculine. VERY easy to read even at an angle. Nice size for this yype of watch. Many features but even though I won't be using some of them I need a compass. Atomic clock is a HUGE plus for us time police. 😃 Solar powered so battery should last 20 years. World time and it's very easy to set. 5571 internal movement is easy to use. Very nice silicone band with quick release. Plenty of band holes for thinner wrists. Black buckle looks good. Ither bands will fit.if needed. Easy to use backlight. Glow in yhe dark work fairly well. LOUD alarm. Negative display screen is easy to read. Tells temperature but it must be off your wrist for at least 29 minutes. (This is normal) Altimeter must be set to be accurate and then it works well. Tutorial videos available online. Packed in a wooden box so it looks nice as a gift. CONS: Pricey compared to some other great Casio watches. Band does not have a locking or wratched keeper. Light could be brighter. FYI: Although not a thick watch it may be too thick for formal wear. Makes people want to be like you. 😬 This is a fantastic watch. As I get older and my vision dims it's good to have an easy-to-read-at-a-glance watch. If you are looking for a G-Steel or G-Shock but watch something a bit classier this may be what you're looking for. Highly recommended

Great looking, accurate and functional watch
I've had this watch for just over a month now. While it took a few days to figure out all the options available on it, after watching a couple of Youtube videos, I figured it out. It is really quite intuitive once you get the hang of it. I was replacing another Casio solar watch that I have had for many years. I also have several higher end conventional Swiss watches, but this is the one that I normally wear. This watch looks great and has many useful features. I live in California, but it picks up the WWV signal from Colorado almost every night, so the time is accurate to the second at all times. It looks great and is comfortable to wear. I use and enjoy many of the features such as the stopwatch, altimeter and others. If you like the look of the watch, I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is well made, will save a lot of money in batteries and should last for many years.

Fantastic upgrade from the PRW-3500
Owned for 6 months. Prior to owning this watch, I had the PRW-3500 for about 7 years. Still one of the best watches, zero maintenance and does the job it was designed to do with no fuss. Still going strong today (just sits on the window seal to keep the battery topped off). The main reason for purchasing this watch was the design while keeping the same functionality as the PRW-3500 (literally the same watch except it has hands). The PRW-3500 was a bit to 'nerdy' as I got older. If you do not know this watch has a solar panel 'ring' along the edges of the face, it's not a gimmick, it works extremely well, hyper efficient. From my experience the battery's lifespan will typically last greater than 10 years. In this case expect minimal maintenance until then. Prior experience with the PRW-3500, the watch band will give out in 2.5 to 3 years. Hopefully it is not the case with this band. This band is stupid comfortable out of the box, soft and flexible rubber. Altermieter, it works... but not accurate enough, usually off 1 to 2 hundred feet, even if I set the correct altitude, come back after a week its off. Compass, its a compass, works well enough, and will get you where you need to go, however would only use it in emergency situations (your last option). Do not have much experience with the bromater, or knowledge how to use it nor had the need too. The watch is easy to read, but not like a digital watch. However, the hands pop out and are clearly visible/readable in all lighting conditions. This sell listing does not do the lighting on the watch any justice. When you activate the lighting the entire face, not just the hands, illuminates, and along with an LED illumination, everything that is white on the watch is fluorescent, and will illuminate passively, including the white lines on the outer portion of the bezzel. The small display has an LED illumination as well. The watch is very comfortable, and is a watch that I can wear 24/7 without the need of ever taking it off, and I don't. One thing that is a MUST BUY with this watch is a screen protector, like the PRW-3500, the glass is mineral, it's not if, it's when the glass will be scratched. The link below is the protector I found to be the correct glass size, it fits almost perfectly, 38mm, which is annoying because the glass is 38mm. I think once I crack the protector, already went through one (comes with three), I'm going to get the 37mm one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07STY371X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 In the end, I highly recommend this watch, totally worth the price, and it should (fingers crossed) last a decade.

Almost perfect
Beautiful design and appearance, exudes quality consistent with the somewhat high price for a Casio. Light illumination bar is small and takes some fiddling to activate even once you find it. Only illuminates the digital display, which has nice large letters, but the analog hands are very bright in the dark. Solar charging stays on high with ordinary room light once you “jump” charge it with a bright light for 6 or so hours in the beginning. Does all functions including automatic atomic time sync well, a window perch helps but it has synchronized without it; menu easy to learn- you will want to download the on line user manual and save or print it. Some reviewers have comment that the alarm is too soft. The band is 23 mm wide, not 24 as some vendors of third party bands suggest for this watch. I got a third party dark navy silicone band with black buckle to match the blue dial, perfect match. Immediately installed a crystal protector glass.

Excellent watch, with a few caveats
Strengths: - A generous combination of features. Having triple sensors, multi-region radio time sync, and solar power all in one watch is a boon. It's a high price to pay for it all, but I'm not regretting it. - Straightforward access to functions, with the crown only needed for changing numerical values. - Very readable in the dark without needing to activate the light, thanks to large hands/numbers and amazing glow-in-the-dark materials. - Good radio reception, able to get strong signal from WWVB all the way out in Massachusetts. - Compass almost holds calibration for more than a day, which is great for a digital compass. - Slightly less "tacticool"/overcomplicated appearance than most primarily-functional digital watches, which I like, although it is still quite visually busy. - Alarms work the same and are just as loud as those on any other Casio watch. Some reviewers have said that this watch is too quiet, but mine is loud enough to wake me up in the morning just fine. - Extremely quiet. I have very acute hearing and am easily annoyed, but I can only hear this watch tick when it's right by my ear, so it's never a problem. It's not completely silent like an all-digital-style watch, but it's close enough. Weaknesses: - Somewhat bulky, though well within my limits for size and weight. - The resin band it comes with is a bit uncomfortable, comes undone a lot. Better third-party options are available, though. - The stainless steel bezel is not very resistant to abrasion and has no plastic guards to protect it, making this a substantially more fragile watch than I was hoping. - Weird and garish illuminator. The UV LED it uses to light up the hands and numbers doesn't get them very evenly, and everything glows an actinic blue-violet color that hurts to look at in the dark. The LED that lights up the digital display also leaks a lot of light out at a low angle, perfect for accidentally distracting someone sitting to your left. Overall, using the illuminator is really kind of a painful experience, saved only by the glow-in-the-dark dial that stays visible for hours and often saves you needing to use the light at all. It's certainly better than nothing, and if I absolutely had to do something with the digital display in the dark and didn't have a flashlight, I'd tough it out, but this does really make me miss the blue-green electroluminescent backlights from Casio's lower-end watches. - Terrible countdown timer, bad even for Casio. Not only can you not set it down to the second, but it also doesn't go higher than one hour, which is a downgrade from my old SGW-100 which could do up to 24 hours. I guess it's enough for most cooking, but a lot of cheaper competitors out there these days have countdown timers that can be set up to 24 hours and down to the second, which makes this stick out. I'm honestly not sure why it's so limited, since there's plenty of room on the display for a multi-hour timer and it would be easy for the menus to support setting it. - Unscrewing the crown to change settings is very slow, and so is winding it back in afterwards. You apparently can't leave it out without compromising water resistance either, which is somewhat concerning. I guess it's somewhat nicer than just using buttons to increment a value up and down, but only a little bit, and it's definitely not faster. It's also very easy to overshoot your target thanks to somewhat strange fast-scroll behavior. - Using the digital display at certain times of day can be difficult because the hands get in the way. I know this is just a fact of life for analog/digital hybrid watches like this, but it's not mitigated very well here. The display is very tiny, and the hands, especially the minute hand, can cover a lot of it at once. There's a trick where you can press the light button and the bottom left button simultaneously to make the hands temporarily move out of the way, but it resets whenever you press any button, meaning that you can't keep the hands parked while you use the stopwatch or something. It's always technically possible to see every part of the screen by peeking at it from multiple angles, but between about 24 and 36 minutes after each hour of the day, it's kind of awkward. I'm happy with the watch overall, and can see myself wearing it for years to come - but it might also be the first watch that I actually bother to take off before doing anything that might risk scuffing it, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. Next time, I might go for something a little cheaper and better-protected against abrasion, even if it means sacrificing a few of the nice features this one has.

A Very Nice ad hoc watch from Casio! 👍🏼
I like this watch! I am an avid watch collector/enthusiast and usually focus on Swiss Automatics from the 50’s/60’s. As a result, I haven’t had a Casio “electronic” watch since I got as 11 y/o. However, I wanted a watch that I could wear and not worry too much about if I bumped it or scuffed it on a hard surface. So I was looking at Casio “G-Shocks” when I came across their “Pro-Trek” line of watches that I was hitherto unaware of. After researching the variety of features on the various models in this line, I settled on the 5571 model. As I was just about to “check out”, I saw the 6600 model, which essentially is the same watch, but it had the “Atomic Radio Signal” feature and was on sale for less than the 5571! Done! I was a bit concerned about the size, as I have smaller wrists and I usually wear watches in the 39mm-42mm range. This watch was advertised at 51.5mm, but I have to say, it “wears” a bit smaller. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a big faced watch, but I don’t find it offensive or “overbearing”. I also was anticipating a steep learning curve regarding the usage of features. However, it was fairly straight forward for this middle aged guy and probably a “walk in the park” for the younger generation. The build quality and fit and finish is very nice as Casios tend to be. I like the solar power feature and it only took about a half day long in the sun to “fill’er-up!” I just set it on a nightstand in the evenings and the little led bedside lamp seems to keep it “topped-off”. It’s still new, but I’ve never had any low charge issues. I love the accuracy, as it receives the signal broadcast from the Fort Collins, Colorado, NIST monitored Atomic Clocks. It also monitors other broadcast Atomic Clock signals depending on where you live. All in all, this Casio 6600 is everything I was looking for and has become my daily wearer (for now)! Definitely worth the $253.00 or so I bought it for! Hope this helps!

Affordable, Comfortable, Feature Rich
This is a wonderful watch. It checks all the boxes, including solar charging and multi-band time update. It is very light weight and comfortable, It also fits my 8 1/4" wrist with enough extra band length to actually be secured by the band loop. (Big wristed people will understand :) ) I have a GW-9400-1CR Rangeman that has all the same goodies but it is clunkier, sits big on the wrist, and the band is much less flexible. It also lacks the analog hands and hour markers that are much easier to read. The PRW6600Y Pro Trek is a better everyday wear. The flush mineral crystal is the only flaw in the design of this watch. Like others, I ordered and attached a glass protector that fits perfectly: Finenic tempered glass round screen protector 37 mm 3 pack.
