The gel padding is strategically placed, providing excellent cushioning and shock absorption, which is crucial during intense lifting sessions or high-impact activities. I appreciate how the gloves protect my hands without compromising on flexibility and dexterity. One of the standout features of the Pearl Izumi Elite Gel Gloves is their versatility. I initially purchased them for cycling, but I quickly realized they excel in other activities as well. Whether I'm hitting the weights, practicing yoga, or engaging in various cardio exercises, these gloves consistently deliver outstanding performance. Despite not being designed specifically for the gym, these gloves have exceeded my expectations in every way. Great gloves for the price...but no gloves can stop your hands from getting numb.
Let me start off by addressing things I've read in myriad glove reviews. Firstly, cycling gloves, gel or not, are NEVER going to stop your hands from getting numb on a long ride. If your hands get numb, this generally means there's just too much pressure on your hands, for too long and gloves won't save you from this fate. On average, the only way to fix or mitigate numbness is to change your hand position on the bars often and/or, change your overall position on the bike. The latter is normally accomplished by moving your saddle slightly forward or changing your stem length. Either of these can impact multiple things, so you really need to take some care when going down this route. Try moving your saddle by a small amount first but make sure your leg position on the down stroke is still efficient. See if this helps the numbness. If so, you can start going further down this rabbit hole but you should consult a bike fitter. Secondly, cycling gloves are meant to be very snug. Not so much as to inhibit circulation but tight fitting on your hand. They aren't meant to be removable by just sliding your hand out effortlessly. Finally, for the money, these are very good gloves. I have three sets of them and rotate through them during each week. They are well made and comfy. I also like some Castelli gloves too BUT they don't seem to last as long as the Pearl Izumi Elites and they cost a little more.

Great quality but slightly snug for XL
Pearl Izumi is my favorite glove brand. Great quality that I can feel. This pair is a bit tight for my usual XL. Padding is good. Nice bright color. I always recommend Pearl Izumi for the Lifetime Warranty alone! I've enver used it after 30 years of buying their products.

Poor Product, Especially for the Price
I've used cheap gloves, expensive gloves, and everything in between. These are my least favorite gloves. They fit really well and they're comfortable. But the padding tends to bunch when you actually use your hands to grip your bike's handlebars, so they're not very comfortable when in use. But that's not the worst part. The material isn't very absorbent. I'm not a sweaty person. But my hands were constantly dripping wet from sweat while I wore these gloves (and the outdoor temp was only about 80). There are so many better options than these gloves, especially for this price point.

Great cycling gloves
Love these gloves. Replacing an old pair that I used for years. They are very comfortable with great padding. I bought an XL but they were tight so replaced with XXL. Perfect.

Gloves are ok but run small
This is the third time I've bought these large size gloves, and while I've been very happy with them in the past, the sizing on this pair is a problem for me. For some reason, the wrists on these are very tight. Although I have small wrists, I have trouble getting these on, and I'm only able to close the Velcro fasteners halfway. Plus, the seams are very stiff and scratchy, which makes it very uncomfortable getting these gloves on and off. I've always been a big fan of Pearl Izumi accessories, but I'm disappointed in these gloves, especially considering the premium price.
