CD Review: Two excellent classics! - It's as simple as this: The first two Annihilator albums are mandatory thrash classics! Despite having different vocalists: Randy Rampage on Alice, Coburn Pharr on Neverland, these two albums go very well together. Alice in Hell is more a straightforward thrash assault, whereas on Never, Neverland, things are slowed down a bit at parts, however this doesn't hold it back one bit. If you bought an album like Set the World Afire (still a good album), King of the Kill, or the more recent Metal and were confused about the rants from people that Annihilator is one the best technical thrash bands out there, it's because you overlooked these two like I initially did. Get these before any other Annihilator album. This is the best way because you get both for the price of one! Review: Great band - If you like screaming guitars, buy this

Solid, but just short of a classic
Back in 1989, I saw Testament headlining a show in Milwaukee on the Practice What You Preach tour, but it was the opening band Annihilator that really blew me away. I instantly picked up their debut album Alice in Hell, and was blown away again at how amazing it sounded. However, about a decade and several changes of lead singers later, I lost interest in the band. Recently on a whim, I did a search of Annihilator on Amazon and was amazed to see that their first two albums were packaged together in one CD set for about $15. Thus, I had to get this set to see if the band was as good as I remembered--and for the most part, it was. The debut album Alice in Hell still holds up very well as a piece of pure thrash. In a just world, this debut would have instantly elevated the band to at least the level of Testament and Exodus. Just about everything here is perfect, especially WTYD and Human Insecticide. Randy Rampage was a perfect singer for this album, which is why I was disappointed to hear that he left. The follow up Never Neverland holds up somewhat, but it wasn't quite as awesome throughout. The first half of the album really smokes, with classics such as Stonewalled, Sixes and Sevens and the title track. However, the second half isn't quite as awesome, and a joke such as Kraf Dinner should never have made it onto the final release. It's got a solid riff, but the lyrics are literally too cheesy for words. That would have been great for a B side, but not on the main album. Still, all in all this is a great double-CD set that will bring back great memories for all old-school thrash metalheads.

Techinical and Furious
The combination of these 2 masterpieces of Annihilator is really awsome! The power of the riffs developed on both are remakable and full of enery. A true lesson of old school trash metal!!

Trae temas extra. Como contra, el libreto es muy escueto.
