Not too strong but just enough
It is what it says on the tin. Very tasty.

Lovely Ginger flavour!
I bought these ginger sweets for myself as a lovely nostalgic prezzie at Christmastime 2001. Although I liked them, I think they were too strong for me. They have a lovely strong authentic ginger flavour with no strange after-taste. They are a lovely tasting sweet. I'm quite sensitive to certain foods including oranges and I have an intolerance to wheat, gluten and lactose. After drinking some honey and lemon, as I had a bit of a cold, I sucked on one of these and shortly after I developed a blood blister on my tongue. I was horrified! Sadly, I had to give these ginger sweets to my husband who enjoyed them immensely, with his friends, for ages - almost one year, as they seemed to last forever. Had I not had this reaction, I would've enjoyed them too. The sweets weren't the problem - it's just that I'm sensitive even to normal sweets so I had to stop eating sweets many years ago. If you don't have the issues I have with sweets, I'd highly recommend them. They were less than £3.00 I believe when I bought them. They're more expensive now, but they do last a long time. They're a nice treat if you can justify the cost.

They're ginger and minty. Ace!
A strange combination but I wanted the box for a wee survival kit and Altoids are so hard to come by these days. Mints taste good, if you like ginger. Strong but not overpowering - quite refreshing actually. The tin box is hinged like Altoids and sturdy too. If I could get the whole range of Barkleys for the same price as these I would try them all as these ones were a good buy.

Bought for the tin, stayed for the mins.
Initially only bought these for using the tin to store things in, thought to myself that if the sweets inside were nice i'd just chuck them and it'd be no bother, after-all it was almost the same price to buying a tin that was empty, but i liked the design and thought it'd come in handy. I do like gingery things, ginger beer etc, and I like them strong. The mints within the tin are lovely. They have a strong gingery taste that isn't sickly and leaves a lovely gingery burn. There's a few comments about them being chalky, and having chewed a few I'd agree, but if you plan just on sucking them they're not chalky at all. I will be buying more of these in the future, even if it means throwing the tin away if i don't need it!

Nice but way too expensive for what they are
The texture reminds me of parma violets that I used to eat back in the day and you can still buy them now for less than 25% of the price your paying for these sweet. I guess you're paying for the packaging and keep-sake tin. Would I buy them again - NO way too expensive.

A godsend for that anxious nausea
I suffer from anxiety, and because of course, my body isn't going through enough - I feel near constantly nauseous because of it. Stomach flipping, all of it. These are a lifesaver (and I mean that). Lord knows how many tins I've ordered, probably at least 10, and I will absolutely buy more. They're strong enough to distract my senses when I'm panicking and they settle down my stomach and the nausea. Do they fix it EVERY time? Admittedly no, but they do so often that I always carry some with me. If you eat a load in succession though, your stomach will sort of,,, void itself if you get my gist. Overall? 10/10

Great for nausea
I have Crohn’s disease and one of the medications I take makes me nauseous. These ginger mints work like a charm and they have the right balance been sharp and sweet. I’d highly recommend them if you are looking for a non-medication option for nausea. Could see this being useful for morning sickness or travel sickness. The price is great!

Good but not unmissable
Looking for a ginger sweet for nausea. It is unmistakable ginger, and does help, but I discovered the liquorice version which help much more. These are a hard pressed sugar sweet, like a strong mint, solid and ever so slightly floury. Still amongst the best ginger sweets I've tried, not too sweet. Nice useful tin too, practical for the car or a handbag.
