I needed this book for class. It was very helpful while I was in the film noir class. Has a lot of stories and examples of course material that will be covered in a Noir Film class.

Nice collection of classic essays on film noir. Most are quite good, some even excellent. A few are pompous dreck. Take the good with the bad. Overall, a worthwhile book for the film lover.

A nice collection of essays, some of them historically important) on all aspects of film noir (genre, style etc.). An item for anyone with a library about film, a passion for film noir or someone just wanting to find out what all this talk about film nor is about in some depth.
