I bought this for my dog because I feed my dog homemade food and someone told me that it needs some calcium so I started doing it myself but then I got so tired because even though I grind it is still a bit harsh so I bought this and man I’m telling you my dog loves it barely feels it. It’s so soft. Helps my dog coat and joints.

Great for home made dog food. Very finely powdered so it easily mixes in. No odor. It comes with a scoop but neither the Amazon listing, the scoop nor the label tell you the volume of the scoop. Seems to be a tsp. Depends on what you're feeding but for me this will last about 4 months and I'll buy it again.

Great value but poorly handled. I am not sure. The container came covered in powder and the seal was opened. This could be because of Amazon or because the buisness did not pack it correctly.

I like this and makes it a good addition to add calcium for my dog's homemade food.

I've been feeding my dog a raw diet since she was 10 weeks old. She has thrived on the raw diet for 11 years. Sometime after her 11th birthday she started having terrible diarrhea. This went on for months. I adjusted her diet several times and could not get the diarrhea to stop. Finally took her to the vet and she gave me some medicine. The medicine helped for 2 days, and she started having the diarrhea again. The vet offered to examine her stool for an exorbitant amount of money. I spoke to a business associate who teaches about raw dog diets. She recommended boosting up her bone intake. Meaning more cartilage in her meals. I tried that and it did not help. So, after doing more research I found out that eggshells were a good bet for more calcium. I grounded up some eggshells in the blender and gave it to my dog. It had a mild effect on her. I then found this product. After using it as directed 2 or 3 times, my dog's stool was looking normal. I've been giving it to her for about 3 weeks now with every meal and so far, so good. I highly recommend it. My guess is, is that since my dog is getting older, she wasn't absorbing calcium as efficiently anymore and she needed to be supplemented. This product really saved the day.
