Wiley Quantum Mechanics: Concepts and Applications

An incredible and precise book to learn Quantum Mechanics. Each chapter consist of theory followed by examples with in depth explanation. At the end of each chapter, you can find problems to test your level of understanding. Compared to other quantum mechanics books, this book has many problems and examples related to theory to test your knowledge. Apart from this, there are some topics which require advanced level of mathematics for the solution of differential equations, and this book approaches to its solution in a very precise manner. This book is perfect if you want to master Quantum Mechanics. The book contain following chapters: basics of quantum mechanics, formulation, 1D 2D 3D problems, H atom, Time dependent and Independent perturbation theory, WKB Method, Scattering, Variational Method. You won't find relativistic quantum mechanics in this book.

This is the best book of Quantum Mechanics . It is life changing book because the language of this book is very easy. And problem of quantum mechanics is given in this book which is very standard question. I think this book is very important for all competitive examination related to physics. This book is awesome. The book is fine but the cost is way too much. I got it at Rs. 1280. This book is good for course exams and competitive exams as well.

Good deal

1. It's like a friendly conversation as you read it. 2. No errors! No typos! (So far I haven't found one) 3. Thicker paper and good ink. 4. Hundreds of problems in each chapter. 5. It beats Shankar, Ghatak, Sakurai, Griffiths in the presentation. Try the same section in all these and then try it in Zettili, you'll discover Zettili is always somehow better. (I don't mean Shakar and others are bad, I mean, Zettili is better) 6. It is in Latex! 7. Extensive Index. 8. Awesome graphs. 9. Remarks at the end of sections give you an out-of-the-box perspective. It seems like the book has evolved through lots and weaning and addition. Somehow it is perfect.

A great introductory book in Quantum Mechanics, which fully uses the Dirac notation (unlike griffiths which just introduces it) Lots of solved examples, and the copy I got has super thick pages, so even though it's around 600 pages, it looks like a 1000 page book.

This is one of the books i was trying to buy since my post-graduation days (2006). That time low price edition was not available. When Quantum Mechanics was going over head, the wise men suggested to read this book. This comes across as one of the best books on Quantum Mechanics. It combines theory with rich cache of solved & unsolved examples. Language of the book is very simple. All topics are clearly explained. It's very useful for competitive exams.

The book is in good condition and thanks for the extra polythene wrapping apart from what comes with the book. However, I did feel that it was not necessary. Maybe, you can avoid in future and be kind to our planet.

日本語でもいろいろ量子力学の本はあるが、この本に勝る量子力学の本に出会ったことはない。演習問題も多く頑張って全部解けば相当の実力が付くだろう。私は全部は解いてないが。

Un muy buen texto para adentrarse en la mecánica cuántica, para mí es un texto que desarrolla muy bien los temas y es excelente para un curso introductorio o un primer acercamiento, claro, siempre y cuando se cuenten con bases sólidas de temas preliminares, el único pero que le encuentro es sobre la parte referente a teoría de momento angular, para este apartado podrían revisarse otros textos como el Sakurai.

Ottimo testo, adatto a chi studia la materia per la prima volta. I capitoli sono ben strutturati e i calcoli svolti nel dettaglio. Include anche numerosi approfondimenti, talvolta tralasciati in altri testi. Consigliato per studenti della triennale o magistrale di ingegneria o fisica.

This book provides a good historical background as well as building up concepts pedagogically. This book helped me through my first two quantum mechanics courses and provided a lot of insight and details that I missed from lectures. I especially like the generous number of examples used to illustrate the concepts as well as warm-up exercises with fully worked solutions, followed by end-of-chapter problems. I am more of a visual learner and I need to see how problems are tackled and this text has really helped me learn the concepts.

Nouredine Zettili has written a wonderful book on a very difficult subject. He captures your attention and imagination in the first chapter and keeps you engaged throughout this marvelous writing experience. Let's face it: this is a HARD subject to learn and there is no easy way around the rigor involved to actually grasp and apply the subject matter. He patiently takes the reader through topic after topic and explains the thought process very diligently. I felt as if I had been wandering in a morass of mediocrity with all the good books written about this subject until I came across Quantum Mechanics: Concepts and Applications. Whatever path one takes in science this is a MUST read book. It is worth the effort. If only more scientific books were written as this one..... I definitely recommend this to anyone who is either a student of this matter, an amateur who wants to expand their neuronal function or the casual reader who just wants to learn something special.
