My daughter asked if I would sew some simple rod pocket drapes; however, they were over 10 feet long and there were four panels. I watched a YouTube video of a woman using this brand of the hem foot so I thought I'd give it a try. I liked that there were three sizes and that they fit any standard low shank sewing machine. I have both a Brother and a Singer and it fit both. It takes a little practice to wrap the material around the fabric holder, but once you master that, the sewing is fast and easy. The hems were uniform in width the entire 10+ feet. What a time saver - no need to press or pin.. It also comes in a nice storage box.

Well made, work great, a bit of a learning curve though

Purchased this along with the Dreamstitch 830038004 High Shank adapter and tested one of the feet on my machine with a scrap piece of fabric. It worked well, with the needle clearing the presser foot. It does take some practice using it: You cannot start at the beginning and it's important to at least finger press the folds for the hem before sewing. I also held the fold in place about 5-6 inches away from the presser foot as it fed through my machine. Important to note that the Skyline S7 has a 9mm width and this works on machines with a narrower stitch width. In my example photo, I stitched with a needle position at 2 to the left. I probably could move a tiny bit more to the left to get closer to the fold, but I'll have to experiment a little more with it. I'll update once I start using it more.

Nice set for the cost. However, I have the Janome MC 8900 QCP Special Edition that is high shank. I use a low shank adapter that works with most low shank feet, however, I purchased the "Madam Sew" 3 pc rolled hem set and the foot is too far forward and the needle hits just behind the hole on the foot. This foot does NOT work with the Janome 8900 :( I have yet to try it with my Juki TL-98 Q or my Babylock. If it doesn't work on any of my machines, sadly, I will be returning it. 3/5/22. Finally got around to updating my review. These rolled hem feet work beautifully with my Babylock Ellegante II. And of course they are NOT compatible with the Juki TL-98Q because the Juki does not have snap on feet. Love Madam Sew products! Regards, GetStiched
