Not for polar expeditions, perhaps, but good for chilly days.
For a basic, fleece watch cap, look no further. I have a pretty big head (7 5/8-7 3/4), and it fits just fine on my head. Granted, I'm bald and have no hair to get in the way, but it's still a solid fit for me. Just enough stretch to stay on and be comfortable. In terms of warmth, it's hard for me to tell how good it will be in very cold weather. For the chilly 40-degree evening dog walks, though, it has served just fine. I really like that this hat leaves a small footprint in terms of space, as opposed to some of the knit caps I've had in the past. Fleece is compact and relatively warm, which is exactly what I wanted. And my favorite part is that the olive drab color goes with both neutrals (blacks and grays) as well as earth tones (browns).

It's a very nice fleece cap for the price, you cannot go wrong buying this.
It's a fleece beanie, it's warm, comfortable, it works...what else can I say about it? I lost my Army issued cap and ordered this one as a replacement and love it. No issues and the coloration on it is fine (olive drab). Fits like the GI issued one but seems a bit lighter and not as snug but that isn't an issue. I've been wearing it almost everyday (1 month) with no issues of it coming apart and the stitching is fine. I will probably buy another one for my wife since she lost her's too. We tend to lose a lot of things while hiking in the woods, good for Condor - sucks for us I guess. does its job well
this is exactly the watch cap for which i've been looking. i ordered 3 (olive drab, black, coyote) and am extremely pleased with all of them. they all fit exactly the same as far as i can tell and do a great job of keeping my noggin warm when it's cold outside. the od green version stays in an inside pocket in my cold-weather coat as they're almost the same color. that way, i'm never without it if i need it. the black version stays in my truck and the coyote version stays in a drawer in my room. they have just enough room to allow me to pull it down a bit tighter to cover the top half of my ears to keep them warm as well. i'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap, warm, well-made watch cap.

Not a Polartec
If you want a Polartec cap I suggest getting a Polartec. I bought this because I figured it was roughly the same and I'd save a few dollars. And they are ROUGHLY the same. This one is thicker (or denser?) which better for colder weather, but I won't be able to wear it as long into spring as I wear my nasty old UCP green cap. Also, this cap is longer than my Polartec. I had to fold up the brow otherwise it goes half-way down my nose. It's snug against the temple, however, and folding the brow isn't terribly comfortable. I'm not sure whose head they sized this too. I'm tall and lanky with a mostly normal-shaped noggin. Is it fair to review this based on another product? For 99% of other products, I would say 'No, it isn't fair to compare it to something else.' HOWEVER, since this and many tac products claim to be milspec or market themselves as such, I think it's fair to hark on back to the original product - because honestly that's is the expectation. That's what we want. Is it a good cap, though? Yes.

My new favorite beanie ... errr ... watch cap.
Very warm. Easily covers your ears completely. Stays put the way you fold it. Never has a mind of its own and flops over your eyes or similar. Best of all its super soft and never scratchy no matter what. I've got plenty of wool beanies with and without visors - including some fancy fine-weave Italian army surplus - that are great in theory but its only a matter of time before they get itchy. The fancy stuff just takes longer to start bugging you. This beanie is the first I have ever worn that I forget I have on for an entire day. I bought two more soon after the first.

It’s a large beanie..... 🤷🏼♂️ Warm and nice.. just to big for me.
Three stars only because of the fit. It’s what I ordered.. A fleece beanie.. but.. it’s huge...priced well though. I’m so happy I ordered the polartec one at the same time.. this one is just too big.. and I’m not one to roll up the front.. it says, one size fits all... I would not find that to be true For all. If you put it on without flipping up the bottom you will have extra material at the top.. I wear a hard hat so that doesn’t work for me. The polartec is small/med and fits like a glove! The Condor will be a good backup to have.

It is a nice looking and warm hat. The quality is really decent. Moreover, the hat is lightweight and compact, so it's comfortable to carry it folded in your bag or pocket.
