Great multi-use tool!
Note: I have NOT USED THIS FOR ROCK CLIMBING AS OF YET. I bought this as a replacement for a somewhat smaller key ring I had before. I have a lot of keys and utility knives I store on me, so I need a lot of space and heavy duty devices to hold them. It is very sturdy. I have had no issues with the clip, the weight capacity, or the screw device that closes it and seals it. It's very durable. I have also used it to carry 17 bags of groceries up 2 stories because I didn't feel like making a second trip. (Yes, I'm being serious.)

Excellent Small Carabiner
If you're looking for a small, lightweight, screw locking biner, this is one of the best. There are a few others, like the Petzl Attache that are as good or better in some respects, but not at this price point. The value really can't be beat. A handful of these along with a couple of other types for variety would be an excellent choice for a small/lightweight set - and without stretching the budget. Beyond any climbing usages (for which this size will have it limitations), it's a handy size for backpacking and camping uses for all kinds of things. I see people using the cheap steel and aluminum crap from the big box home stores for this. For the price of the Mad Rocks, that's crazy. If you are in the camping and backpacking use category and need a smaller biner, do yourself a favor any buy these. (In the small range for climbing. Excellent utility size for other purposes.) Excellent product.

Great inexpensive caribener & makes a great friend.
Not too much to say about a caribener but here it goes. It's metal. It works. It's pretty light. The gate it strong. Feels quality. Sometimes I take it to the movies with me because it really likes to get out of the house. Mostly comedies. I just clip it to my bag & we don't need to buy an extra ticket. Pretty sneaky. I think you'll like it if you get one. Just never feed it after midnight & don't get it wet!

I use it as a keyring
I use it as a keyring, not for climbing. It is somewhat heavy, but not overly so. It is large for a keyring. The locking mechanism is good. The paint/enamel is very good. I have opened bottles against the flat parts, and they did not break the finish (for a while, eventually they did).

Using on a keychain
This is a great Carabiner. I love the screw lock keeps my keys 100% safe. It is a little large for keychain use, but this is a real carabiner not a cheap miniaturized keychain clone. If you are looking for a compact model for a keychain you may want to look elsewhere. While it is on the large size it is no longer than my car key so it is in the realm of manageable in the pocket. I tend to wear jeans a lot so they fit in my pocket well and can also clamp to a belt loop if I need them to stay secure during activity. If you are big on keychain addons, this has enough room to support a lot. It has a nice look too. I kinda like the fist grip I can use on the back of the carabiner in my pocket to pull out my keys.

Great for a reliable keychain clip
I use this for a key chain attachment to keep my keys secure. I started doing this about 2 years ago with an inexpensive aluminum carabiner that was made to only hold keys. After the spring started to weaken, the clip dis not secure well enough to hold my keys on. So, I knee it was time for an upgrade. I always hated reading the statement stamped into the side if the carabiner key chain, "NOT FOR CLIMBING." When I started shopping for a new carabiner in knew that I wanted it to be a genuine carabiner that I could use to climb with if needed ( you never know when your going to find yourself in a situation where a carabiner is necessary). After reading reviews and comparing prices, I decided that the Mad Rock met all of my needs and was affordable. So far this carabiner has worked great for my intended purpose and thankfully I have not needed it for any emergency climbing situations yet.

Small Carabiner
This carabiner seems sturdy enough but it is smaller than I expected. I was looking for something to use with a harness and webbing. I will keep this but I purchased one the size I wanted from a retail location so I could see what I was getting.

Love
Great biner, but the diameter was wrong for my use (bought for use with dog leash, but the carabiner is too big and does NOT fit through a ruffwear harness' aluminum attachment point). It also arrived later than expected, but I suppose that was less of an issue since it wasn't the right fit anyway. I wish they would publish the full specs including all diameters (especially since elbow at the basket is wider). So hard to find a strong/rated carabiner that can be used with my dog's favorite harness. I was tempted to keep it just because I really like this binder, but I am probably better off just continuing my search!
