Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet Case, Charcoal Black

When I bought the Fire HD 10 last December I automatically bought this case with it. At the time I really was perplexed and not happy at how the case cost half of what I was paying for the tablet itself. Well now I have had both for almost 6 months and the case has held up extremely well and looks and feels as if it is still brand new. To test things out I did purchase a few of the alternative cases that were much cheaper and they just did not protect the tablet the same nor perform the desired functions. This case from Amazon still folds easily into a stand and the sleep mode lifting and shutting of the cover works great. Most importantly the power of the magnet in the cover is as strong as when I first got it. This is where all the other covers I tried did not perform. So yes this cover is pricey but it is the first time I have ever questioned Amazon's pricing. And due to its high performance, quality and durability there must be a reason for the price. It works great and I can't imagine using my tablet without it.

Just got this tablet last week. I love love love it. I'm on my 4th Kindle since they were first introduced. The descriptions and reviews do not do justice to this tablet. My 3rd kindle was a Fire HDX (purchased in 2015) and there was no "tablet" to this day comparable - for the voracious reader. I will tell you that is not true anymore. The Fire HD IS INDEED as powerful and as user friendly for reading as the HDX. It uses the exact same interface. It comes with Alexa and other bells and whistles. But for the READER who likes books and magazines there is no other e-reader. I read an average of 3 books a week. All ebooks from Amazon. So it was important for me to get the same interface. Plus you get the "new" features of being able to do collections - a feature that is present on the paperwhites. I nursed that HDX along all this time waiting until I could find its match. Had I known it was the Fire HD I would have purchased sooner. I like the size over the other e-readers because I can select a good text size and still get a full page of reading. Fantastic. Don't be turned off by the reviews out there obviously from nonreaders. This is a great purchase. As I said, this is a superb tablet for the READER who wants to also browse and look up information pertaining to what they are reading, and occasionally play games or watch a video. I have 977 books downloaded now on this Fire and still have plenty of space. It will also take a blue-tooth keyboard. AGAIN this is READER that does other stuff. Don't get it if you want a true mini laptop that carries the kindle app. you will be disappointed. If you are a reader! this tablet is for you.

Amazon did a great job making a simple, effective cover for their Fire 10. The Fire is big and on the heavy side to hold for extended periods of time. I promise you will want to prop it up now and then and it couldn't be easier than this. The cloth like textured exterior is much nicer to the touch than the plastic backing of the Fire itself. The color is a perfect match (I got blue), and the fit is very tight and secure. It is still new so I don't know how durable it will be, but it certainly seems to be well made. It is noting that this type of cover provides little edge drop protection. Yes it will help some if you drop your Fire, but this case is more about its added conveniences (auto sleep, the stand, etc) and for protecting your screen while moving it around and shoving it in bags or gloveboxes than it is drop insurance. Amazon tends to put these on a good sale at the same time as the Fires, so it's wise to grab one at the same time.

Love this case, it fit perfectly, and is super high-quality and durable. The only complaint I have is the color get dirty, pretty quick, and the cloth texture is hard to clean.

This is a great case that will keep your Fire clean and lightly protected. Probably the most functional tablet case I've owned. Using the stand is a bit wonky, but it works well and really clever to integrate it into the cover design. I havent dropped my tablet yet, but really doubt it would provide much protection from dropping off a table. That said, I've owned a few tablets in my time and can't remember dropping them from a significant height, so that is really moot with me....my phone on the other hand has a beefier case since it does occasionaly fall. One of the features I really enjoy is the magnetic flap of the case. Not only does it secure the cover during a closed postion, but when in the open position, it can be used to stick your tablet onto metal surfaces. I have used this on the fridge to watch videos or play music while in the kitchen. On the fireplace for my kids to watch something. On a metal beam in the basement while I'm working out. Absolute a gamechanger in terms of functionality.

I was in the market for a new tablet and didn't know which one to get! I didn't want to pay a lot for one but I didn't want one that was so cheap it wasn't going to have good features and not last. My sister has one of these tablets so I took her advice and got it as she loves hers! It was a great choice! For the price I was very pleased! It has everything I needed and the cover I bought with it is perfect! If your looking for a tablet that is nice in size and sturdy and good quality for a lower price this is the one to get! I give a thumbs up for this purchase!

This is the same kind of case that I had on my previous, much smaller Kindle Fire and I loved that one so much that I decided to go with the same style again. It snaps easily in place over the Kindle and has cutouts for the speaker, camera, volume buttons, ear phone jack, power switch, and charging cable. The back folds to double as a stand in either the vertical or the horizontal directions. This is a handsome flat black color that I know from experience will protect the Kindle fire if I accidentally drop it on the floor. My wife liked this so much that I bought one for her too. I recommend this protective cover to family, friends, and others who have an Amazon Kindle Fire 10 tablet. Enjoy!

May of been my mistake but the cover didn't fit the fire tablet I got with it. I bought the cover cause it came up as items that people bought with fire tablet.
