High quality, comfortable, waterproof boots
I bought these for my son to wear in Argentina. He has worn them for 9 months. He has worn these as the main shoe he wears almost daily. He walks miles in them every day and they are still in great shape. He says they keep his feet dry when walking through the rain for hours, through puddles, and wet grasses. He says they still look new. Only the inside shoe insole has worn out, which isn't surprising given the many miles he has walked in these boots. He has worn them through the hot summer months and they don't make his feet get all sweaty. He loves them and plans to buy another pair someday when these wear out. Absolutely recommend these boots for comfort, keeping you dry, sturdiness, etc.

Extremely comfortable
Lightweight but sturdy hiking boot that easily and comfortably took me on a 10 day track to Annapurna Base Camp. I initially doubted it because my trekking buddies had much heavier boots. The Ecco boot molded to my foot for a perfect fit with no blisters, sores or friction points. Great boot!

Perfect Boot for Me and Many Others
I have previously purchased a similar ankle high boot made by Ariat and decided to go Fe these a try. I noticed three things immediately: the fit was perfect. I was a bit wary when I say the size range 10 1/2 - 11 but the boot fit perfectly with no discomfort or break- in issues whatsoever. Secondly, the quality is obviously superior. Notice the stitching, the sole to leather protective area, the top of the boot around the ankle, and the quality of leather. You immediately know that it is multiple steps above other brands and without being pretentious and showy. Finally, the support within the shoe is excellent and comfortable. If these have the durability that I am hoping for, I will easily pay a bit more and switch to the Ecco brand for future shoe purchases. If you like the idea of a ankle-high boot that feels comfortable, looks great, and offers great fit and support, I would definitely recommend this boot.

Excellent boot.
My husband has a problem with his left foot. These are the only shoes he can wear comfortably. He has worn them for more than 20 years! We have always purchased a new pair when we break out his current spare pair. Expensive, yes--but well worth the price. Very well made--they last for a long time.

Best boots made
I originally bought a pair of these while I was freezing in snowy conditions in Bavaria. They were on sale and the most comfortable thing I have ever put my foot in. I wore that pair for 2 years straight almost every day and in every weather condition. They match almost any style unless you're in a suit and tie. I buy a new pair every couple years or when they go on sale.

Ecco is killing a good selling product
For years I had been buying this product in both colors, black and broum and about 10 years ago I had the first big problem with them, the stitching in the front broke lose and the sole deteriorated way too fast, Now the last pair made in Slovackia came with a sole that it is so hard that it feels like it is made of wood. I bought this new pair ta take it with me to Paris for my last trip. I always bring them with me because they are excellent to walk on the rain or snow and used to be extremely comfortable for long distance walking, No need for break in (My wife and I walk about 10.07 miles a day while in Paris). I wonder why Ecco is abandoning this classic. Very sad.

Well made and stylish. But the outside stitching might rub your foot.
I've owned many pairs of ECCO boots and shoes over the years. I've always found them to be comfortable, stylish, well made and worth the high price. I purchased these to replace a pair of aging 14844 boots. Initially, these boots felt great. Typical ECCO fit and comfort. After a week or so, however, the stitching on the right side of the right boot began to rub my foot. If you look at the close up photos of the outside side of the shoes you will notice a spot where there are 3 large stitches; these are the stitches I'm referring to. Sadly, I had to return the boots. If you have a high arch, pay attention to the stitching when trying on the boots. I ended up trying a pair of ECCO Rugged Track High Waterproof Boots since this design does not feature the same outside stitching. Although not as stylish or well made as the Track 25, the Rugged Track boots are quite comfortable. And as a bonus, they are much less expensive.

Uppers still good but I had a knee replacement 5/17 so I ...
My first pairs of Track II high and low cuts lasted many years and miles. Uppers still good but I had a knee replacement 5/17 so I needed fresh soles for a new gait. Got a pair of low cuts for the usual price then I saw these. Super price, same quality and the blue color is fine. Still made in Slovakia. After receiving the blue pair, examining them and wearing them for a couple days, I ordered the two tone oak. Could not pass the deal on the best outdoor shoes I have ever owned. edit: June 20, 2018. After about three months of ownership I still give these boots 5 stars because of the price, but they are not the same quality as the Track II boots. The leather, finish anyway, is not the same quality, there is about 1 less stitch per inch, the laces are not as durable. I see no difference in the quality of the soles, insoles, fit, and comfort, so still a great boot, but there is a reason why they are priced less than the Track II's. edit: Jan. 17, 2019 When I bought these in Mar. 2017 they were $120 for the blue and $126 for the buckskin color size 45. Did they go up because they're in season now? Anyway the price is pushing Track II territory now.
