Perfect! Easy to install and makes a big difference.

There is nothing like a wall mounted 50" TV especially if you can make it look wireless. I purchased two of these inexpensive items and with two Low Voltage mounting brackets (Home Depot) I made the TV installation look great. I mounted one behind the far lower corner of the TV and one about the height of the plug (about 2 1/2 to 3' apart this is important). I have run all the wires required to run two Game Stations and every other accessory wire that the television requires to populate every output/input on the TV. Make sure that you plan first it helps to make sure that you have a hollow wall so that you can run accessory wire without obstruction. Also make sure that the two Gang plates are directly in line with one another and don't make them too far apart so that most wire will not need to be extended. Leave the plates accessable so that you can remove them for future wire without too much destruction. I can slide my TV over 6" and I have access to the plate but it is a good Idea to leave a fish rope threaded through the wall and out of both Gang Plates too. I am really happy with the simplicity and finished look however if it is cold behind the wall there is nothing stopping the cold air from coming out of these plates so keep that in mind or plan to stuff insulation in the holes.

The plates work very well. They are nice and sturdy and the angled hole helps direct your LOW VOLTAGE cabling such as speaker wire, HDMI, and audio cables. Once the bracket is in place, this cable plate attaches quickly with 2 screws. I've found it is much easier to feed your cabling from top to bottom and then through this plate prior to attaching it to the wall. One note.... I see a very scary number of images and reviews from other Amazon customers showing they are running their power cords through this plate. This plate is designed only for LOW VOLTAGE wiring, not power cords. Power cords and extension cords are not allowed to be run in walls per the National Electrical Code. Only specialized in-wall rated electrical cabling is allowed. If you were to run, say, the power cord for your TV through the wall using this plate and a fire were to occur in this area, your home owners insurance can and will deny the claim. For wall mounting a TV, you must have a power outlet properly wired behind the TV instead of just running your power cord or an extension cord through the wall. The product is as shown. It's bright white, sleek, with a nice sized, deep opening to send many wires through. I have 5-14 gauge wires and an HDMI cord running through mine with plenty of room to spare. (Uses about 1/2 the space available.) The down side: it is only the face plate with no mounting bracket. so to mount it to stay on the wall, you either need an outlet box, or buy the metal low voltage mounting brackets at Home Depot for about $1/ea. However, it is still cheaper than buying the whole assembly at Home Depot for 3x the price. [...]

Easy to install.

I purchased this 2 gang low voltage receptacle to run a lot of wires through for a 7.1 surround sound system. That means it was large enough for 7 speaker wires, a cable TV wire, one HDMI cable and I also ran a spare HDMI through it just to hang there in case the first HDMI goes bad—easier than fishing a replacement through the configuration of my set up. This two gang recepticle is the perfect size for all those wires with no room to spare. I like the way it sits flat on the wall and the “cup” portion of it goes back into the wall—so even with all those wires coming out, it looks organized. I bought two of these—one to go behind the TV (which could have been the single gang version because only the HDMI goes into the TV—the speaker wires go to the speakers in the ceiling) and one to go near all the components (the receiver/cable box/DVD player). Note that you need to install an electrical outlet near your TV for plugging in the power cord. It is against building codes to run power cords behind the wall. So this should not be used for power cords. Note that it does not come with the mounting bracket so you need to purchase that separately. I highly recommend that you DO purchase that. It makes installation of this plate much more secure. I had to fish a lot of wires through this recepticle and with all that pulling and tugging I surely would have loosened the recepticle had I just screwed it into drywall. The mounting bracket ensures that it is attached securely to the wall and gives you a secure base to screw the recepticle into. Highly recommend this product. Easy to install

When I decided to mount my TV on the wall, I did not want all the wires hanging down. I did some research and found these DataComm 45-0002-WH 2-Gang Recessed Low Voltage Cable Plates. They provide a clean professional looking solution to hiding wires in the wall. The combination of this plate and Arlington LV2-5 Low Voltage Mounting Bracket was the perfect combination. Remember that you will need two. One at the TV and one at your entertainment / DVD player / Cable box. Pros: - Sure easy to install. - They are bright white and blend in with most standard light and outlet covers. - Sturdy thick plastic. You aren't going to easily crack the plate while tightening the screws. - The wider opening allows me two run two HDMI cables, 1 coaxial, 1 component cable through ( with room to spare) Cons: - Honestly, this was exactly what I was looking for. No complaints. I am quite pleased with these pates. I have had them installed for over a year and have not had any issues. I get a lot of complements on my mounted TV and how clean it looks.
