I like to cook and every once in a while, I'll treat myself to a new kitchen tool. I've always exclusively used a 7-inch cleaver, love it, but this 5 incher? Oh, man. You should feel the heft of the handle in your hand. It's just so weighty and spectacular.

This is exactly what it is supposed to be a massive cleaver. Only regret I have is,it is exactly what it’s supposed to be. I needed one a little bit smaller.

Very easy to use for spatchcocking poultry, cutting pork or beef ribs into singles, cutting large cuts of meats quickly— pork shoulder, brisket, etc. Excellent grip shape, beautiful wooden handle. Can even be used for chopping with the slightly rounded blade.

Great knife, nice weight..very very sharp. I ended in emergency room it cut my knee open. It was my fault.

I love the sharpness and easy cutting of my cheese wheels. So far I have always used the smaller HS knife to cut my cheese but it always required much extra power and cloth to press the knife through the cheese. This knife lets me cut through the cheese without extra efforts. The other smaller HS knives with the cutting board and the fitting plank have been my favorite knives for over ten years. Never had any issue with any of the knives.
