I thought these were too expensive, man, I was wrong.
I finally ordered these sandals after forever having them in my cart. I am just really cheap about buying certain things. I have gone through about five pair of sandals in the last few years; they break, they wear, they become uncomfortable, whatever. The only pair of sandals that have lasted (actually for about 13 years now) is this cheap rubber pair someone lost at Hanalei bay, Kaua'i. At least I thought the found sandals were cheap, but man they have outlasted some other pricey sandals. Anyway, I have been looking for a nicer pair to kind of class up my act. I came across the Olukai brand at a shop and looked them up on Amazon. These are some smart-looking sandals. I love the look of these, so I sat on the $130 price tag, and sat, and sat. Then, just the other day, I must have been in a buying mood, I bought these. Almost all I can say is "OMG". I generally don't like toe thongs, but these aren't too bad (actually easy for me to get used to). I wore them for an hour or so to check them out. When I took them off, the floor felt funny beneath my feet; Felt like I was tipping. Having figured out what was happening, I found it to be the sandal design, and not because I ate some fermented beverage. The heel of the sandal tip me slightly forward, while the sides are built to tip you slightly toward your insole. The feeling is delicious. It is almost as if these sandals are helping me walk with a better gait. I wear a size 10.5 (in Nike) to size 10.5D to 11D ( in cowboy boots) and bought these in a size 11. Whatever the case, these sandals look great, feel great, are made of super quality material, are very sturdy, and are well worth me cashing in my coins to pay a little extra for some quality footwear. I LOVE these, and will keep working on getting use to the toe thong until I don't feel it anymore. I highly recommend this brand...and these particular sandals.

Buy a size bigger than you wear
I’m going to start with five stars and come back to edit later. I just received these sandals/flip-flops yesterday (8/24/2025). For perspective, I’ve been looking at these for months, and for a couple reasons. First, I’m trying to reduce the fake/plastic/toxic from my life, and having my feet touching leather instead of whatever the foam is made of on my current flops seems like a good step (pun intended) towards that end. Second, I have a high arch and would like that supported better. I read a good deal about these, including many of the reviews here. As this is an extremely high price for a pair of flip-flops, I felt I should research as much as possible before buying. The two things I was most concerned about after reading were the fit and longevity. As for the fit, here’s my experience: buy a size to a size and a half bigger than what you are accustomed to. If I have shoes that are wide enough (my Toms are) then a 10.5 wide or extra wide fit great. Most are not, so I usually get an 11 and realize it’ll be couple months before they are broken in. With these I bought a size 12, thinking they would be about right based on all the reviews. Well, the footbed is about right and the arch support is almost as high as I’d like. The strap is what I’d expect, even though it feels too tight. The “cushion” is almost non existent. But I’ve been wearing these foam ones for years. I suspect, being leather, that there’s a break-in period. And so I plan on coming back in a couple months to give an update. For now, they look great and feel like good quality.

Size and Comfortableness
They run a little small in size . I normally wear a 8-1/2 so I ordered a 9 since they don’t offer 1/2 sizes . The end of the shoe was even with the back of my heel . So I opted to send them back and get a size 10 . No the back is about a 1/2 inch past my heel and feel much more comfortable . I love the fit . They seem to wear well without any slipping or sliding . However, I’ve only worn them in a dry environment . I think overall once I get them broken in I will like them even more .

Really well made
Great product, my second pair. I had my first pair for 5 years and wore them all the time in the summer with little sign of wear. Lost them in the old left them on the truck bumper saga.

Nice Looking and Comfortable Flip Flops
To be honest, I’m not even a flip flop kind of guy. But, I wanted a pair of shoes to kick on and off at the beach, pool, etc.. I had heard a little about Olukai and gave them a try, after buying and returning number of different sandals. I was a little nervous about them, because of a history of plantar fasciitis, but the Okukai sandals have good support overall. After just wearing them around the house, I could tell they were different than other brands—better looking, better support, better materials. I fell for them and ended up buying a second pair in a different color. I have not worn them a lot yet, but these flip flops appear to be well made using very nice leather. They are a little stiff at first, but should soften up with wear. The arch support is good (not great), at least as good as most flip flops. They are pricier than many other brands but seem to be made better so are worth it. They also have more style to them than many others. There is nice looking tooling on the leather upper and even the leather insoles. Another interesting facet is there is a piece of leather that wraps all around the soles of the sandals giving it a richer uniform look. Note these do run somewhat small. I wear 8s (US) in many other sandals/flips and could not even get my foot halfway into the 8s on these; had to size up to 9s. Order next size up than you normally wear. Update: I’ve now been wearing Olukai flip flops for over a year and I can say they are very comfortable and durable. They get more comfortable with wear and have become hard for me to take off. I don’t like putting on regular shoes anymore, even sneakers!

Love 'em! And love my doodle too.
Most comfortable sandals ever wore. Lasted a whole 4 months before my dog got ‘em! 😢 🐾. Had to get a new pair.

Firstly they’re made ok Don’t order the 10.5 as you will be sent a 10 uk size and when asked to change for the correct size seller has a problem sending the correct size The 10.5uk was for £130 for all other sizes £179 definitely not the money I was very disappointed would not recommend

These sandals are very nice. My husband has wide feet, yet these sandals fit him quite comfortably. Very important to not is that my husbands feet are size10.5 but he needed size 12 in these sandals.
