The perfect forever toy. Fun for ages 3 to 50! UPDATE: 6 years later, and my kids still love this.
You will note that my age group above does not include 1 or 2 year olds. This toy is FANTASTIC for just about any possible play scenario IF the child is at least 3 years old for girls and 4 years old for boys. I bought a green one for my son when he was 2 years old, and it pretty much just sat in the corner, unloved for a while. I bought a blue one also for my nephew who was 2.5 at the time, and his mom (my sister) put it in the get-rid-of pile about 4 months later. Luckily I was there to swipe it before she took the pile to the thrift store. Now that my son is 4, these two bilibos are the bee's knees. He sits in one to spin, it becomes a boat for his animals, it carries sand or water outside, and is a great mud mixing bowl. He can string a rope though the holes and pull his toys around the yard on the grass. He uses it as a basket in which to throw balls or beanbags from a distance. Overturned, it becomes a cave for his dinosaurs, or a mountain pass for his trains. He balances on them, uses them as stones to cross a raging pretend river. It is his shield and his helmet. My one year old daughter likes to sort things. So I put an assortment of small toys in the bilibo in the morning, and she will pick them up one by one, inspect them, and then put them back, or put some in one bilibo and some in the other. I have a feeling she will start using the bilibo more when she gets into the doll phase, at about age 3 I assume. I am kinda excited to see what she might make of this toy. I plan on getting her a pink one. Three bilibos are always better than just two. UPDATE: My son is now 10, and daughters 6 and 3. They ALL love these bilibos -- I think we have two now, but I will be getting a third soon.

Fun toy - encourages creativity & imagination!
Both my kids, 4 year-old and 21 month-old, LOVE the Bilibo. We bought one for each of them and they play with them every day. They come up with a lot of fun games on their own. They spin in them, walk on them, carry things, act like turtles, wear as helmets, etc. etc. It seems like a well made product and I like that there are no rough edges. We just bought a third one. UPDATE - August 2013: My original review was written five years ago. We have loved the Bilibos (we own 3) for many years, and it just keeps getting better! The kids still love them and have come up with many, many games and ways to play with and use them. Have held up incredibly well and kids who visit tend to be drawn to them.

Creative, active play toy
Based on other reviews, I thought this could be a good open-ended play toy for my children. In the midst of all those flashing-lights, change-the-shape-please?-mom toys where the TOYS play while the kids essentially just passively watch, I wanted a toy that would make my kids be creative. Looking at this toy initially, I thought it was rather anticlimactic, and I wasn't sure they would be interested at all... but lo and behold, in the detritus of the christmas wrappings: my two littles (2 and nearly 6) spinning themselves silly in their new Bilibos! So far they have used them as baskets, stools (briefly), chairs (precariously) and mainly crazy-silly slip-and-slide-and-spin toys. They may be the best rainy-day toy we've ever owned, because my kids are so ACTIVE with them, but they tend to stay in one place to play-- i.e. not running across the couch or throwing anything even while they are getting their wiggles and giggles out. The bilibos are starting to get scratches on the bottoms from spinning on our hardwood and tile floors, but I think that's as far as the damage will go. For educational value: definitely 5 stars, for all the reasons that true creative PLAY is educational, which it surely is.

My 3 year old and 16 month old like them...
We purchased two of them, one for each child, for Christmas (6 weeks before this review). My daughter (3 y) didn't quite know what to do with it so she filled it with her other presents. My son (16 mo) immediately tried to sit in his. They had several gifts each, and these didn't really seem to stand out at first. Later on that day I put one on my head like a helmet and that just cracked them up. It also seemed to open them up to playing with them. Since then they've put them on their heads, used them as makeshift chairs, used them as "steps" for a bridge. They've used them as baskets to carry toys, books, clothes, and stuffed animals. They've placed them two of them together to make a sphere. I'm pretty sure they will find more uses as the weather gets better and they go outside. I can't say that these have stimulated imaginative play more than other items they've played with. Pretty much anything they've done with these they have done with cardboard diaper boxes. But these are much more durable, the colors *pop*, they look cool, and the kids play with them almost everyday unlike some of their other Christmas toys.

Buy it! Best purchase
This is amazing. It is super light so my little ones can carry it (not quite 2, and 4.5 year old) but I was surprised with how thick the plastic is. It doesn’t bend at all when the kids sit in it, stand on it, or when I stand or sit on it 🙃 I tried it out before wrapping up for Christmas and loved it myself. My girls drag toys around in it, drag each other around in it, rock baby dolls in it, sit in it, stand on it, spin in it, tip over in it, and oh MY the giggles that come with it! Honestly the best gift. These will be a go-to gift for other little ones and would even be amazing for stackable and flexible seating for a preschool, kindergarten, etc. If they made a slightly larger one for my adult sized butt I’d honestly order one for me. I will buy more!

I have two of these for my kids and they love to use them for sitting in as bucket-chairs or as stools and for scooting around on the floors. It's such a simple design but for kids with imagination the possibilities are endless.

It's an innovative toy, good quality and great for the price. I bought it for my 1 year old, though it's meant for 2+ so he's still to figure out how to rock in it.

My 1 year old and 3 year old grand daughters love playing in and with this durable, fun Bilibo! They can use their imagination to create their own games with it.

This toy really intrigued me and I was really hoping it would hold the interest and spark some creativity in my 4 year old, but he really has very little interest in it. It is probably one of the least played with toys in our house. I think he'd enjoy it more if he could spin himself in it but he can't yet, this toy is maybe better suited for the older age groups? Definitely not worth $72...I only paid $30, but wouldn't buy it again.
