Comfort and great protection
Great boot. Combines comfort, support and protection without being to rigid or heavy. Size recommendation fit perfectly.

Without Any Equivocation, These Boots are the Best Workshoes I've Ever Owned.
Due to the fact that I have serious Neuropathy in both feet, and my left foot is larger than my right foot, I'm always hesitant to purchase shoes or boots--any shoes or boots. And, I'm even more hesitant to purchase work boots without having the opportunity to first try them. So, it was with great trepidation that I purchased this pair of Caterpillar Work Boots. Nevertheless, I just sort of "let it rip." Once the Caterpillar Work Boots arrived, I tried them on, and wore them inside my house. Obviously, I figured if the fit was less-than-acceptable, or they hurt my feet, I'd simply box them up and return them to Amazon. Amazingly, not only did they NOT hurt my feet, they fit spectacularly well; and they were even comfortable. Now, I've purchased far-too-many pairs of work boots throughout my life to even attempt to keep count, and NEVER have I ever had a pair of work boots fit as well as the Caterpillar Work Boots. They are simply amazing--I have no other way to describe them. Since receiving these Caterpillar Work Boots back in February 2020, I've worn them a number of times; and when I've worn them, I've had them on for an extended period of hours. I'm serious when I say these Caterpillar Work Boots are even more comfortable than any of my New Balance athletic shoes. Due to my severe Neuropathy, my Podiatrist suggested that I wear New Balance athletic shoes. New Balance athletic shoes are supposed to be "the poor man's answer to severe Neuropathy." And, I do agree that they ARE for "poor men"; I wear New Balance athletic shoes because my Podiatrist wanted to sell me a pair of custom-maid Diabetic shoes at the very pricey sum of $1,050.00 (one thousand fifty dollars, and zero cents). Since my health insurance plan will not cover the custom made Diabetic shoes, and custom-made insoles (i.e.; inserts), also at the extremely pricey sum of $450.00 (four hundred fifty dollars, and zero cents), I'm on-my-own for modalities. Well, heck, wearing the Caterpillar Work Boots is so comfortable I just might make them my "everyday shoes." After all I'm a resident of deep-south southwestern North Carolina, way up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, so around these here-parts, the Caterpillar Work Boots just might be considered "very down-home; and very, very stylish." Y'all never know! But, I'd definitely recommend these Caterpillar Work Boots: they're very comfortable; exceptionally durable (they haven't even begun to show the slightest bit of wear); they have a great safety track record; and they're quite affordable. And, if you doubt me about the "affordable" part of my review, just check the prices on some of the competitor's work boots. You'll be shocked! The Caterpillar Work Boots are definitely deserving of Five Stars!

Pretty Good
These boots are pretty decent. I have high arches in my feet, though, so the insoles aren't particularly useful. I put some of Dr Scholls insoles in, and it seems to improve a bit. However, as I purchased a size 14 pair, there was only one option at any of the stores I went to (seriously, everything was size 8-13, only a single thing went to size 14 and it was the same thing everywhere). As to the traction, it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I've recently started working at a factory(ish) place that makes mocha powder for Starbucks, and that powder gets EVERYWHERE, especially on the floor. With my old gym shoes, I could slide around pretty easily (which was sometimes rather fun), but this is a rather dangerous situation. I heard from one of my coworkers that they make boots for exactly this sort of thing, so I got these (they are advertised as having high traction). Unfortunately, I still slide around on powder a bit, but mostly when it's piled up on the floor or built up on the bottom of the shoe. However, I don't think that it's possible to get a perfect grip on a smooth floor covered in powder (without damaging the floor, at least) because, while the shoe may have a perfect grip on the powder on the bottom, the powder does NOT have a good grip on the floor, so I end up sliding anyway (kind of like standing on a chair with wheels. You might have perfect traction on the chair, but the chair can still roll around). In any case, the traction is better than my old gym shoes, at least. I've also noticed a bit of a problem with my ankle being rather loose in the boot. I've no idea whether it's because the boot is too big (I doubt it, but it might be something around half a size too big if it is) or because that's just the way these boot designs are (This is the first pair of boots I've ever bought). This is an extremely annoying problem. It does largely go away when I make sure to really tighten the shoe laces at the top of the boot, though. As to how much I wear them, I have to stand on my feet for around 8-10 hours per work day. Every now and then, I'll have to do a 12 hour shift. My feet are fine at the beginning, but they do begin to get sore at the end, so the boots certainly aren't magic clouds of foot comfort wonder. The soreness is beginning to go away, though, so it's also quite reasonable to believe the cause to simply be because I'm unaccustomed to standing all day long. In short, the boots are pretty good. The insoles aren't quite suited to my feet, but my feet have rather high arches. The traction is pretty good, as long as you don't go walking around on piles of mocha powder. The comfort seems reasonable as well, but it's not super awesome foot heaven (not that any shoe is super awesome foot heaven, anyway). I'd be fairly comfortable in recommending these boots to another person.

Best boots ive ever owned
Blows my old Ariats out of the water. These are cheaper, higher quality, and more heavy duty. The second you lay hands on these you can tell they're build extremely well. Buying a second pair to keep in the closet after I wear these to death.

🔥🥾A Year of Roofing, Mud, and Miles Later…🥾🔥
UPDATE: After a year of roofing, mud, and miles, they’re still holding strong and when they finally wear out, we’ll be buying the exact same pair again. 💪 I bought these for my husband over a year ago, and they’ve held up amazingly. He’s a handyman and electrician, often working on steep roofs, muddy job sites, and in all kinds of weather, and these boots have never let him down. There was no break-in period, and even after a full year of use, the leather still looks great and the tread gives solid traction on slick surfaces. The steel toe and electrical hazard rating make them ideal for safety, while the nylon mesh lining keeps them breathable on hot days. He loves how they are semi-waterproof and keep his feet dry in bad weather. He normally wears a 9.5 wide, but we ordered a 10 and it fits perfectly — I’d say they’re true to size. Despite being rugged, they’re surprisingly lightweight and extremely comfortable. The biggest plus: he’s diabetic with neuropathy, and says these are the most comfortable boots he’s ever owned — no pain, no pressure, and great support. They’ve become his everyday shoes now, not just for work but for hiking, fishing, and weekend projects.
