This product maybe ok but no use for stropping wood chisels so maybe I bought incorrect for my usage! no instructions have to scan for video link that makes you give all your details before you can watch the instruction video

Does what it says on the tin, good maintenance strop I use it regularly but I do alot of butchering. Keeps them like a razor 👌🏼

Good way to really fine tune the sharpness of a knife. A sharp knife is so much better than a blunt one. Please take care always.

In my old age I have more time for my hobbies one of which is cooking in particular Chinese food.having spent a considerable amount of money on a professional knife sharpener I decided to treat myself to a strop to take my knives to the next level but in a short time the compound started to break down some high spots some parts you could see the leather so instead of giving my knives a razor sharp edge they started to go dull. So today I decided to carefully remove the original compound with a razor stripper and re apply some rubbing compound I bought. Now am happy to say the sharpening strop is doing what it’s supposed to do and all my knives are razor sharp. Next challenge is to find a way to stop it skating around unless you hold it with one hand that leaves the other hand to hold the knife to sharpen clearly two hands on the knife would give better control to keep the desired angle of the knife to the strop

A great strop with an ideal height from the work surface, it comes pre loaded with compound. Used on a variety of knife and chisel makes and shapes. It worked well on all. It appears well made and I'm hoping it will last a while.

Boom, ready to go out the box to keep the blades nice and sharp. The compound I seem to always get is mouldy looking (same with all beaver craft compounds I’ve had) seems to work fine but never looks like the bright green in the picture (it did however look bright green on the loaded strop)

Using this strop for 5-10 minutes had a huge impact on the sharpness of my hunting knives even though I am a beginner when it comes to sharpening blades. 10-15 minutes on my 1000 grit stone followed by 5-10 minutes on the strop made each of my knives sharper than they have ever been. This is my first decent quality strop and so far after just one day of use it has been well worth the money. The large, rigid board makes this easy to use and I plan to use this with my fixed blade broad-heads as well.

Il prodotto consiste di una striscia di pelle, intrisa di pasta lucidante verde, incollata su di un blocco di legno della stessa misura. Il tuttuo mi sembra di ottima qualità, sia pelle, sia il legno, sia la pasta lucidante verde applicata, sia l’incollaggio. Il prodotto è realizzato in Ucraina, ma è commercializzato da una ditta tedesca. Nella descrizione è scritto che viene fornito anche Il composto lucidante, ma non è scritto di quale colore, però nelle foto viene mostrato un pezzo di composto lucidante verde, ma in realtà nella mia confezione il pezzo di composto lucidante fornito era di colore grigio, come si vede nella foto allegata, ma probabilmente si tratta di composto lucidante bianco, che serve ad ottenere una lucidatura ancora migliore, perché non ho mai sentito di composto lucidante grigio; ma per me così è anche meglio, perché avevo già provveduto ad acquistare un composto lucidante verde, così adesso ho anche quello bianco. Infine nella confezione è incluso anche un pieghevole a colori con le istruzioni d’uso in inglese, ma di facile comprensione. Correzione: pensavo che il colore dei composti lucidanti seguisse uno standard comune, ma non è così, il tipo di composto lucidante, in base al colore, varia da produttore a produttore. Nel caso della BeaverCraft, produttore di questo articolo, il composto lucidante bianco è più grossolano del composto verde, che ha una grana più fine. Esattamente, il composto lucidante bianco della BeaverCraft ha una grana di 28, mentre quello verde ha una grana di 7, perciò, per affilare, bisogna usare prima il composto bianco, che dà un’affilatura più veloce ma più grossolana, e poi il composto verde, che dà un’affilatura più lenta ma più fine.

No tengo experiencia en el tema, pero por mi parte cumple su función, me deja los cuchillos recien afilados, bien lisos i espejados. No se si es cuero o no, pero por el precio que tiene pués es lo que hay. Un buen asentador vale minimo 70€, cada uno que valore lo que desee, yo estoy encantado.

Mit etwas Übung kann man mit diesem Teil sehr, sehr scharfe Messer erzeugen. Einzige Schwäche ist meiner Meinung nach, dass der Unterboden aus Holz besteht und dadurch bei Benutzung leicht über die Arbeitsfläche rutscht. Dies habe ich mit einer rutschhemmende Kunststoffmatte beseitigt. Nun macht es wirklich Freude damit zu arbeiten.
