I am completely and hopelessly in love with my Alien Sunshade. I adore my Jeep top-down but living in Florida, that means many months are off limits due to intensely searing heat in the Sunshine State. It hit a bit early this year. When we topped 92 and I was stuck in traffic, I knew dreaded top-up time had arrived and I began to sink into a slight depression at the prospect of enclosed travelling. Thank all the powers of automotive deities that I discovered Alien! It is AMAZING and unbelievably easy to install. You can even leave it on when you put the top up. Best of all…it WORKS! Really, really well! As I crossed a bridge, I actually felt the cool air coming off the river instead of the blazing sun on my head. Sitting in traffic, the shade not only protects from the sun but also holds the AC in better. I swear it makes the stereo louder too. I think the mesh "bounces" the sound back in from the speaker bar or it could be that the lack of imminent heatstroke enhances my hearing. Honestly, I love this product so much, if you give me enough time I'll probably discover that my Alien Sunshade makes me look younger and drive better too! :) I may rename my Jeep, Roswell, so that my Alien feels right at home! If you are hesitant to purchase this...don’t be. If you ever feel uncomfortable in the sun with the top down...this is the cure. To enjoy your Jeep all summer, there are only two things you need: the key and your Alien Sunshade. I was NOT compensated in any way to endorse this product I just fricking love it and want everyone to know how great it is. I also want to address the comments that Alien is a “rip-off” of another brand. Bullpoo. If that line of thinking is correct then anyone driving a car that is not a Ford or has a phone not made by Bell is using a rip-off. Come on! This is America and we compete. That is what makes us strong. Competition keeps companies striving to go farther and do better. This is exactly what Alien did; better price, better warranty, incredible product and a much cooler logo! Plus, I was truly impressed with their excellent personal customer service. I emailed for info and got an immediate direct response from the owner! Alien rules the cool!

Years ago I had purchased a Sunshade from Alien for my 2016 hypergreen JK Wrangler, fondly named “Glostik”. The sunscreen was awesome! When I upgraded to a 2019 JL with the One touch roof I was sad that I was unable to use it, so it sold with Glostik. I’ve continued to miss the sunscreen, it living under the impression that I was unable to use one because of the roof. So obviously, since I’m writing this review I have discovered I can have my cake and eat it too! After some trial and error with ordering it through Amazon (a story for another day) I again am in seventh heaven with having a sunshade on my Jeep!! It is perfect! It cuts on that sun shining in your eyes ( I’m 5” if that makes a difference) and it does cut down on the wind/noise driving on the interstate. If you are in doubt….go for it, you won’t regret it……NOW….a few “notes”…. I wish there was the option for just buying the front. I didn’t want or need the back panel. There should be better instructions and videos for installing on the One Touch, especially where the bungee should be placed in the front corners where the roof brackets are. The white plastic strap to help guide the bungees needs to be about 6” LONGER, and lastly Aliens website explain/show that it works great with the One Touch!!

I own a 2018 Wrangler JK sport hardtop and this sunshade makes it very difficult to put the front tops back on with it in place. It states in the specifications that the tops can be on and sunshade left on also. It’s a universal fit so maybe it works that way with other Jeep Wranglers but keep in mind it’s difficult to do with the JK Sport edition. It was easy to install even with the hard top on. I loosened all the wing bolts and shimmed the hard top up so i could run the sun shade over roll bar and under the hardtop. It does cut down on wind noise and provides shade from the sun as stated. If it was designed to allow the front tops to go on easier with it in place i’d give it 5 stars.

This item is very easy to install, and it looks great. This mesh sunshade blocks the sun and protects the interior from the sun as well as knocks down the wind noise. I highly recommend this over its competitors.

Order/delivery: No Issues. This product was delivered with no issues. all parts were accounted for in the manufacturers packing (including the little green Alien). Installation: The installation of the front sunshade took approximately 20 minutes. This would have been significantly reduced had I removed the full hard top prior to installation. The sunshade came with a QR code link to an installation video which clearly explained how to install with no issues. There can be a small learning curve for the types of bungee straps used. Installation would be much easier with full top off and an extra set of hands, but neither are necessary. I simply paused the video prior to beginning of the following step without any difficulty. Fitment: The front sunshade as described on the website and in photos online with no major gaps on any one side. Quality. The bungee straps held together with no issue. The screen and grommets remained intact after full load from all bungees was placed on the sunshade. I performed a test drive up to about 50 mph to ensure the sunshade would not flap in the wind. The shade was taught all the way around with no vibration or flapping noted. Overall: This appears to be a quality product. I had no issues with installation or first use. I would recommend rolling down all windows prior to start, because if the bungee slips it COULD have enough force to break the door glass.

I tried going topless but wanted some shade from the sun and thought if I did get a soft top that I could keep it installed. It was a pain to install the front and rear. Wouldn't want to do that more than once. I bought a soft top, less work to lower and raise then dealing with this IMO.

I am not a fan of peak summer heat so this Sunshade turned out to be a great accessory for my 2017 2 door sport. Fits perfectly. When I went to put my soft top back on, the 2 clamps were taken by the bungy chords, but I simply popped them off and stored them aside. They went on easily when needed so not a issue.

Would have given 5 stars but it was kind of a pain putting the hardtop back on top. Especially because of the front loops and the handles to secure the front panels but otherwise it worked. Just left out some of the balls from the front. Also for the holes ontop to align with the screws it had to get pulled further back so now theres a gap at the front. Still serves its purpose well though. I would buy again if I had another jeep.

Usually it says will not fit a 2019. Took me a bit to open it so can’t return.
