These R/C plug sockets are great. They are easy to install and they work over a great distance. They make life very convenient.

1. Turn the appliance on 2. plug the socket plug into the wall 3. plug the appliance into the socket plug 4. press the side button to turn socket plug on (red light comes on) the remote then will switch the appliance off (and on/off as required) and the second remote can immediately switch the appliance on and off with no further intervention. Each socket plug is numbered to match the numbers on the remote control . What’s not to love? - Which is why I think they are excellent!

I previously had the other type and within 14 months 2 had died. So I bought the Uodated version ‘slim’ Here is a photo showing the differences with the broken set (x in pencil) And the new set Lost a star because the button to override is still on the side, so in a multi gang you may not be able to manually reach it alongside a second one, and no light to show you if on/off, unlike the other set, so you know it’s not the remote IYSWIM. Another point to note. First set had the extra bulk at the top, angled/new set has it below. This could make a difference if you need the space below your socket

We bought three of these six years ago and they are still working well, which must say a lot for the quality of the product. I purchased a set of five recently to make managing the Christmas lights easier. Now we can sit in the lounge and turn the outside lights on and off when we need them, so much easier and flexible than having them on timers as we previously did. These remote control plugs are so useful for making use of difficult to get at sockets. I think they are a great product, work straight out of the box with no setting required.

Bought these for a corn store to operate hard to reach 1.2kw fans. Seem to work great, and the range is as good as stated. Too soon to tell how long they will last, but they do look good quality.

These are so great if you have plug points that are hard to get to. We used for the Christmas lights, so much easier than crawling under the tree. We also used outside for lights (not recommended but our area is covered and water tight) and the remote worked from inside no problem.
