The ONLY problems I have with this set are that the purple reflection is very dull, and that the outermost screw holes are very tight and leads to accidentally stripping the screws if you tighten it too fast and loosely. Otherwise, the shell and buttons were very easy to install. The inner screws were way easier to loosen and tighten than the outer ones. The shell molds were also very high quality, as the circuitry of my original Joy-Cons fit into these new shells snuggly. The end result, of course, was a great controller mod that both looked and felt great, as the material used to make the shells and buttons are also of high quality. The buttons feel great to press, and the remote itself feels nice to hold. The spare springs, screws and screwdrivers were also a great addition to add to this bundle, as those itty bitty parts are very easy to lose. If I plan to modify another device's shell, I will certainly buy from this store again.

This is not a protective or snap on case/cover for joycons. You actually have to take the original casing off and replace them. My husband did it for me and he got frustrated a few times, but in the end, it was worth it. They’re so pretty and really make my Switch unique! I chose to keep the original black buttons, but it did come with buttons to match the casing. The kit also had all screws and tools necessary to complete the task. As long as you’re prepared for a little work, it’s a great product.

I want to start this review by saying I do not tamper with electronics and knew this was going to be an intimidating project. However, I have wanted to customize my joycons for a long time, so I took the plunge! This is a really good kit, definitely worth the higher price than some other shells. It comes with a little screwdriver, the shells with the internal plastic battery holder thing, (sorry idk what it’s called) all of the triggers, buttons, and screws you need. That means that if you’re careful, you will have extra buttons and screws. This project didn’t take me hours. After reading the other reviews, I was anticipating a long assembly time. All together, this might have taken me an hour and a half. I used a youtube video instead of the website video that the instructions tell you to use. It wouldn’t have taken me that long if I wouldn’t have accidentally detached the ribbon cable from the motherboard when putting the right joycon’s charge stick back on. If you do accidentally detach the ribbon cables, you will want to use curved tweezers to align and lock them back into place. Overall, I think this kit made the replacement of these joycon shells as easy as it could be. The only things I wish it had that it did not were magnetized screwdriver heads and tweezers with it (I had to use my own). I love the look and feel of these shells. They are soft and don’t feel cheap. Now I’m thinking I want to buy a few more to re-shell a few more pairs I own.

I went into this knowing that it was not an easy install. I also had my own tools to use. In spite of this I still had 2 of the tri-wing screws strip out on me. Neither was on the joycons, but on the switch itself as I also ordered the matching back plate. Drilling out those screws was the most difficult part. This is not a project for someone who has never worked on modern small electronics. Despite the long and labor intensive install I was able to put it all back together. I only used the replacement screws for the tri-wings and kept all the other original Nintendo screws for the rest. This switch had been dropped a few times and you could see some damage internally on some of the old parts. (Back plate had broken tabs where the screws went in, joy cons had cracks in several places) These replacements fixed all of those issues while changing the looks significantly. We ordered the "chrome" versions of these and they are shiny and not "soft touch" like the others. They make it look really nice, but it is slippery and a fingerprint magnet now. I don't know how well the paint will hold up, but I'm hoping the "chrome" don't show the issues the "soft" ones seem to have in previous reviews. I have no problems with fit...they all fit like the old Nintendo parts. Overall my son and I are very satisfied with how the end product looks now. If the finish holds up I will be very satisfied with this product.

Colors are accurate and the material is good quality. Comes with plenty of extra screws and springs too.

Aaahh my god this housing is STUNNING! I am so glad they released this color, now I'm just crossing my fingers that they release the backplate at some point so I can complete the look (and maybe a Dpad for the left controller). The feel of these is very smooth but I actually prefer the smooth to the original joycon texture. Everything was easy for me to install, but I've rehoused my switch a few times before so I had a good idea of how it would go. I did not use the tools/screws provided, so I cannot speak about their quality, but the quality of the shells is beautiful. The buttons come in a mold and you have to pop them out, so I did have to file the edges just a tiny bit to get the sharp points off. I only used their SR/SL buttons for the side of the joycons, I preferred the look/texture of the regular black buttons for the front (but that's just my aesthetic). I do wish that the middle piece of each joycon was also the duochrome color instead of being black, so there's a small sliver of black between the R/L and ZR/ZL buttons. All of the buttons work great, the only thing I noticed is that the ZR/ZL buttons dont have as much spring movement as the original ones, but they still click great and it has no effect on gameplay. The pieces all fit perfectly together, and I did not need to file down any edges unlike the basstop shells.

Sieht super aus. Farbe Lila/blau schimmernd. Schnelle Lieferung. Nach Austausch der Hüllen lassen die Joycons sich weiterhin gut bedienen. Mit Thema Abnutzung werde ich erst mit der Zeit feststellen und dann kommentieren

We recently got our daughter a Nintendo Switch for her birthday and wanted to allow her to personalise it, to stand out a bit and thought these were perfect. The built quality of the covers is great and you cannot tell they are not Nintendo once in place. However a word of warning, they can be very difficult to put together, I am very experienced in carrying out repairs and upgrades on small devices such as phones etc. As such thought this would be the JoyCons are another level, for the most part the swap over process is straight forward, until you get to the triggers. The way these are joined to the casing is not very easy to remove/replace (Nintendo design), underneath is a small micro switch with a metal cover and it is very easy to damage the micro switch if you are not aware. Luckily with my experience I was able to repair the micro switch. But please bare this in mind when buying. Once in place they are fantastic and my daughter loves them, highly recommended just do not expect a 10 minute change over.
