Excellent Mini Console!
I currently own most of the mini consoles, and this one is one of my favorites. There are lots of great games and some gems from japan only and the interface, sound, emulation are all top notch. Unfortunately on the small downside there are 1 or 2 games you can't really play unless you can read Japanese and it also does not come with an extra controller, it doesn't affect me much though (I use 3rd party 8bitdo ones) but would have been nice to have 2 in the box. Also it doesn't include an official usb power supply adapter, the official USB adapters are hard to find and expensive (i paid $60 Canadian) and technically you can use any usb adapter you find or just plug it in to any usb port but for collectors sake and to avoid problems (I've read of consoles bricking due to using certain power supplies) and if you can find one and are willing to pay the crazy price (like me!) then pick up an official usb power adapter for this thing (so you can brag you have the 'complete' official system and also avoid any potential issues and have peice of mind). The build quality is pretty good, feels strong and has a nice texture, it is a little light feeling though, the wires on the back are a bit of a pain to get in with the snap off cover. So far i've had lots of fun playing this thing and highly recommended if your wanting to play some old school turbografx 16 games and if you can find one for retail price (i was lucky enough to get mine for Amazon.com retail price of $99 US) before they sold out and the price went up) defiantly grab one, totally worth it and tons of fun!

Worth it for Rondo of Blood & Sapphire
Konami did a fantastic job developing this mini console! You get over 50 games with hidden games as well as near arcade perfect versions of TG-16 games. So you get the TG-16 version and the arcade version of Gradius, Salamander & Fantasy Zone. Also you get a time attack version of Soldier Blade. The hidden games are Force Gear and Twinbee. Here's how you can access all of the hidden games 1) Force Gear (Hit the select button twice and hit the run button on Salamander) 2) TwinBee (Hit the select button three times and hit 1 or run on Salamander) 3) Salamander (Hold the select button and hit 1 or the run button) 4) Gradius (Hold select and hit run) (Near arcade version) 5) Fantasy Zone (Same as Gradius) (Hold select and run) 6) Soldier Blade (Hold select and hit 1 or run button) So yes its worth it but it's not perfect. It's emulation so it's not possible. The visual and sound emulation is accurate but there's a slight sound delay and it's more noticeable on Bonk's Revenge but otherwise it's not that big of a deal. I think most classic consoles have this issue. Another thing is that it doesn't come with an AC Adapter which is very common nowadays so you'll have to buy a 5V3A AC Adapter or use a USB port on your TV. You only get one controller and for some reason Konami put some text heavy PC-Engine games on it so unless you can read Japanese or are using a translation app you won't be able to play the games. The games that have this issue are Necromancer, Snatcher, Appare Gateball and Super Momotaro Densetsu 2. Other than that I'd say that it's worth $100.

Oh Wow. It's worth it for Sapphire Alone
I'll be honest. I bought this to be able to play Seirei Senshi Spriggan and Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire, and absolutely it's worth the purchase price just to be able to play Sapphire. This isn't like the NES where the graphics look outdated and clunky. It's not like the SNES where the graphics are sloooooow. It's not even like the basic but snappy graphics of most genesis games. No, the Turbo Graphics is another beast entirely. The first thing I noticed was how fast and fluid the menu is for loading games. The second thing I noticed is how FAST the games are. Back in the day, the Turbo Graphics had one of the fastest 8 bit processors in the world. While SEGA and Nintendo were crowed about the benefits of 16 bit central processing and bandwidth, the Turbo went in a different direction. Instead of a slooooow 16 bit processor they paired a FAST 8 bit processor with 16 bit graphics processor. And what you get is... Playing Sapphire doesn't feel like some clunky, slow, bland old game. It feels like an arcade game. That same level of fast, fluid, colorful graphics that is common to expensive arcade machines is what you feel. The ship doesn't feel sluggish. The colors pop off the screen. It's simply amazing. Playing other games gives the same feeling. They are just so...FAST. And so incredibly colorful. I owned many of these games already on the Wii Virtual Console but the sharpness here puts it to shame. This is the way these games were meant to be seen, in crystal clear, bright, sharp, high fidelity. The console itself has a few issues (Who cares about needing a phone charger? Doesn't everyone have fifty in a desk drawer somewhere?), but one you DO get the cables and back cover seated right you likely won't have to ever worry about that again. The controller is a bit stiff but people who know say it's VERY close to the original. It has has the turbo function and a wonderful long cable (yes!). The overall experience is absolutely fantastic. I get to play games that not only were only released on the TG-16 but many that were Japan-only, hard-to-find, and now quite expensive. I love shoot-em-ups more than any other genre of game, and if you feel the same you absolutely owe it to yourself to get the best Mini Console ever made. You can get Mario Bros and Sonic anywhere, you don't need a Mini Console for that. Try getting Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire some other way. Good luck with that unless you enjoy building out Raspberry Pi solutions in your garage.

This is a great little reproduction console! Game selection is good and you have a wide variety considering there are even more when switches from English to Japanese languages. The quality of the hardware is good. Feels like a sturdy device but it is also a hefty little mini at almost double the size of my genesis mini and heck, the hu card slot is almost the same size as normal! They should have made it hu card readable! Oh well! Still an amazing little console for the price! Would recommend, a great way to be able to finally experience the turbo grafx/PC Engine library! I've waited a long time for this and almost dropped hundreds of dollars on a modded PC engine to be able to play Japanese and American hu cards which are also hundreds of dollars! Crazy! This is a much better option for the casual collector! Shipping was super fast at 3 days from Japan to Ohio! Thanks seller and shopper for making it a quick and easy transaction! Also had precise tracking updates all the way through the shipping from dhl! Box was slightly torn though...but that's was the only thing. Still giving 5 stars cuz I love this so much lol

Everything about the Turbografx mini is fantastic. The menu, the music, the emulation, the controller, it's all amazing. The game selection is top notch, there are secrets and easter eggs on the system, even a hidden game. This is one mini console you really should get to explore the turbografx library.

Ok, I never had a chance to play on this system. So i was very happy to get this mini console. The list of game is very nice but it is sad that not all the Bonks games got listed and there is no English translation for Snatcher, Rondo of Blood and some other RPG listed only on the Japan section. I know these games never got ported but this is a really miss change to have more people experience there games that are really good. Should be nice if M3 or Konami announce some sort of hardware patch to add english translation to some of these games.
