Great product. Out of the jar
Great product. Out of the jar, the wafers seemed a little chewy; however, if they are allowed to sit for 20-30 minutes, they become crisp. I'm not sure if this is by design or not. However, if you like them a little soft, they are great out of the package. If not, let them sit. They are great either way. After researching the question of crispy/not crispy, I have found that wafers such as these are baked in a humid oven so that they can be cut without causing crumbs. As a result, contrary to what I would think intuitively, the chewier ones are actually freshest! In any case, I like mine crispy, so I put them in the oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for a couple of minutes. They don't need to toast, just need to evaporate some moisture.

Exactly what I expected, but you cant eat them right out of the container.
Okay everyone. There's a reason these taste "stale" right out of the container. If they were nice and crispy they wouldn't survive shipping. Literally EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE 1000 PIECES SURVIVED. The only way you can do that is have them be slightly pliable...i.e. stale. Leave them out in the air for a few hours and they crisp up. However, if you throw them in the toaster over for like 60 seconds they come out perfectly crispy without discoloring or warping. Absolutely amazing with Nutella as a crispy, tasty, low calorie snack for those that like to keep their hands and mouth busy while watching a show or movie. If they weren't so pricey Id buy them again, but admittedly they last a long while...and I'm eating like 200 of them at a time.

Still searching but this a very good
Tl;DR: they are okay and will for sure take you back to the dry memories of church. Though they were stale. I accidentally left them by an open window on an icy cold night and that made them crisp again. Not all communion wafers are the same. I remember this specific type that I got as a kid when we visited my grandparents and went to their local Catholic church. I've long since stopped going to church but every once in awhile I'll crave the wafers. These have satisfied that craving for now, but they are not the ones I use to get with Nana. I'll continue my search

Tasty but Pricey
Who would've thought that the simulated flesh of sky-daddy would taste so good, I joke with my Husband that "SoMeOnE aT aMaZoN pRoLlY tHrU iT iN tHeRe!?" No, I buy this, it's that heckin' good. But the ingredients and the process, is it really that much of a process, I feel I could get more product for the price. I spray'em with light oil, airfry at 375(F) for 3 - 5 mins and sprinkle with taco-meat seasoning. I call'em "Blessed Balls."

Sacrilegious Host Nutella Smores
Raised Catholic I knew what to expect flavor wise however, my host arrived and were noticeably "stale" and borderline chewy before they dissolved. With no returns on this product I toasted my host in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes and they toasted and crisped up nicely. I used them to make Nutella smores and the taste was light like Rocher candy. $20 after shipping was a little high for the product however, it was worth it for the joy of making snacks with something that was "taboo" to play with growing up.

Delicious Cardboard
I’m no longer Catholic but the taste of communion wafers from my childhood has haunted me. These were great.
