Sidewinder SWBRD Sidewinder Planer

I used one this summer on one of the northwest best steelhead rivers. Worked like a charm. Ran a wiggle work behind it. Super easy to set up and get out in the current.

I love this product! I wish I could get parts for it, namely the the little rubber band. I don't really like the downrigger clip modification.

I had to modify mine in 2 areas. It takes some practice.

This item will replace your outdated and cumbersome fishing planer boards. The genius behind these is the simplicity of design thereby eliminating all the problems with traditional trolling planer boards. After the hookup the device slides down to the swivel and you fight the fish not the board.

I just got these and as soon as I took the planer board out of the wrapping I realized I wasn’t going to be happy with the slit with the rubber insert part that holds the line. I riveted a Scotty Mini Release Clip to the ridge and I believe this will work better. I’ll have to write another review after actually using them out on the water.

I love how u can fine tune the lateral positioning of these planers!! Plus, no messing w the planer when it’s time to real in the catch!! The rubber slip is still a work in progress….Ive found an inner tube to be the best option so far! Just need way to secure it without it getting lost ever few catches!!
