Foam Seal Tape

For a narrow space that requires this insulation, sound proofing, or rattle reduction, this is the answer. Well made, good adhesion, and very easy to use. Seems a little pricey until it becomes obvious how many problem this 'tape' will solve.

Used this to get rid of a rattle from my Model Y's rearview mirror housing. Very thin (and narrow) which was just what was needed to get rid of the rattle. Easy to follow the contour of the frame and stuck well to what it was applied to. Definitely recommend it for any NVH issues where you need something thin

It's foam tape. -1 star since the two rolls were stuck together and hard to separate.

Needed this to replace the worn gasket on my Dewalt 735 planer's dust hood. Right size and squishiness, improved the chip collection. NOT what this was spec'd for, but does the job perfectly!

This is the only foam tape I could find that was soft and thin enough to meet my needs but it was a royal pain in the neck to apply, the worst I've ever encountered. It's been my experience in the past half century plus I've been using weatherstripping, gaskets, etc. that if it gets stretched, it will eventually shrink. This stuff was impossible to avoid stretching. Just removing the release paper would stretch it. I fear I will get gaps opening up in the future that will need to have pieces spliced in to fill them. The adhesive is excellent but it was also grabby, frequently sticking before I could get the tape into position. The release paper was flimsy and frequently tore while removing it. I had to remove the paper as I was applying the tape to reduce stretching and to make the tape easier to position before pressing it down. Once the paper tore off, it was impossible to peel off where it tore off. A stronger release strip would have made this tape considerably easier to apply.

Great little product for reducing rattle of car parts and replacing factory seals that wear out over time. Installation was a breeze but the adhesive on this is very sticky and the paper backing gets in your way very quickly, so be patient! Worked great on my Honda Fit after replacing the rear hatch latch.
