Introduction to Algorithms (Eastern Economy Edition)

The book is super usefull for courses of Analysis and Design of Algorithms at undergrad and graduate level. The author explains in details and even if you are not completely familiar with computer sciences, you can understand the content.

You're obviously buying this because your taking an algorithms course and you're too cheap to buy the normal copy. This worked fine for me. Paper is very thin and print is in black and white no color. but that's to be expected

Order arrived early. Very good packaging. Book in a good quality. Only minus point is that the price for this version in India is much much cheaper than the price sold on the web (real price = 1/5 price on the web).

Buying this book brings the same experience as if you buy the not "eastern economy edition". You are going to be realized because this purchase actually helped folks in India to bring food to their table as well at the same time that it helps MIT and authors. I received this in Canada so I had to pay an extra $14 CAD in federal taxes because of the importation process. I don't mind at all. You can definitely trust the seller. Thanks!

It provides a very comprehensive introduction to algorithms. If you like mathematics, this is your style. Written in a very rigorous manner.

Purchased this book new but I received a book that was very obviously used. It has a large grease stain on the cover and writing in the pages, which are in some places badly faded. Really frustrating

Its a must have book for every programmer or Computer Science student. This is the most recommended book for algorithms for students, teachers and professionals, even MIT and most of the MOOCs recommend this. It can be used as a textbook or a reference book. I have been using this book since 5 months. 1. Prior programming experience is required. In particular, ability to understand recursive calls and simple data structures is enough. Knowledge of basic math and mathematical proofs is also required. They have also provided this in appendix. 2. The book begins with introduction to algorithms, their role in computing and why you should learn them. Then it teaches you all the algorithms, beginning with the simpler ones, step by step. Each step is explained nicely, in the most elegant way. 3. It teaches you all the tools required for analysis of algorithms. Some people don't recommend this for beginners. But I, being a complete beginner in algorithms, would suggest you to go for this without any second thought. It's a huge book, heavy to carry. You will struggle with some topics, but devoting time for this will be helpful and eventually you will master algorithms. Online videos are also available at MIT's website to help you with this. I have not completed the book. Will add more as I complete it.

Beware if you buy the international edition, the paper was greyish in color, very thin and cheap. The book is already coming apart for me from the binding area. They did offer me half off for these imperfections so they are nice.

This is one of the best book ever wrote about Algorithms
