Highly recommend this product.
Used this product for years, still the same great quality, the magnet is very strong, the box is not falling off. The box is too shallow for a key fob, so i take the key off the fob, and put the key only in the box, then store the fob inside the vehicle.

A must for RVs!
For this price, you get exactly what you want & need. It’s secure & solid with super strong magnets, low profile and easy to open, but not so easy that you feel like you’re gonna lose your key. I like having back up keys hidden away for emergencies, and I especially love the peace of mind in knowing it’s safe and sound. When I’m moving my travel trailer or on the road, I mean to take it off, but I have forgotten and it’s right there where I left it when I get to where I need to go!😆 And let’s face it, it’s kind of like Murphy’s Law - I’ve rarely needed to use it, but when I haven’t had one, I’ve locked myself out of plenty of places. For my travel trailer I also like to keep my outside pass-through door keys in them so I don’t have to go digging around inside for them.

Cost Effective and Good Quality
I purchased this to use to store the key for my pool controller box and it works better than expected, especially considering it was $2. Contrary to other reviews, the two magnets seem to be glued in just fine and are relatively strong. I will say that the slide door is a little tough to use at first, but I don't necessarily view that as a bad thing. While the magnets seem pretty strong, I am not sure that I would trust using this to store a car key attached to the underside of a car (not that I would ever consider doing that in the first place anyway).

Works well for what I want
The magnets are good and strong, if you've got a nice, flat surface for it to stick to. The case itself isn't big enough for, say, a Ford key with the built-in remote. I just wanted it for a plain metal key, though, to keep under the car in case I ever lock my keys in it (again). For that, it's adequate.

HOW TO OPEN
This is a fantastic case. My other lasted through three vehicles (yeeears!) It did eventually lose a magnet but I had it attached on TOP of something (not in the wheel well), so I never lost my keys and it didn't lose its grip with the remaining magnet. So of course when I needed a new one, I ordered the same brand. Opening it seems difficult but, there's a trick to it. I will try my best to explain it here (I've also posted a video demonstration) : those little lines you see on the end of the case look like gripping lines where you are supposed to push to unlock it. They are NOT. That will lock it down tighter. The locking mechanism is actually beneath those lines so if you push it there you are locking it down tighter. Instead, hold it horizontally. Go to the opposite end of the case (where you see the top of the picture of a key) and, holding the bottom firmly with your other hand, squeeze THERE. That will lift the locking mechanism at the end and allow you to slide it out. You may have to use both thumbs, but it will work. That disengages the locking mechanism.

This is for a single key only
Great for a regular house key. However you cannot have a key fob on it. Just the key fits not the remote
