Anatomy and Physiology

This textbook is a great resource for anatomy & physiology college students. I could hardly see why a different textbook would be required unless there are specific online resources in another that an assignment would be based upon. If it were up to me, all professors would use OpenStax- the chapters are coherent, accurate, and overall very helpful- providing easy to understand information at an affordable price! Plus the “extras” are a great resource, the interactive links, practice questions, and real world connections are great.

Awesome. I couldn't find some of the information I needed from my other a&p book, marieb 9e, and this one had everything I needed. I like the graphics in this book & find them to be very helpful. I couldn't figure out what phagocytes were involved in the innate immunity & this book has a graphic that organized everything so I wasn't just assuming. I also like the histology graphics, there's an animated photo & an actual photo pictomicrograph for most tissues. I ordered this book after we did the cardiac chapter, but I think the graphics are far better than in the marieb book. I was struggling to try and match the mechanical & electrical cardiac events & this book shows it in a graphic, which would have been very helpful. Wish I would have ordered this book in the beginning of the semester. I first came across this book on their website (it's available for free as a pdf) & I kept printing off pages. I figured I'd rather just buy the book than have a bunch of loose pages all over the place. I looked on amazon to see if it was available in a printed edition & it was. Thanks to this book I passed my a&p 1 final with a B. 🤓 I've attached pictures of some of the graphics I found to be very useful.

So far I LOVE this book. Purchasing was optional, because it is also available FOR FREE online through their website. I enjoy having a hard copy to take with me and if I don't have I can easily access it on my phone or laptop. I am still towards the beginning, but so far its been awesome. In addition to the text, it also includes a lot of QR codes that link to additional material and other study aids. They use current and easy to understand references. Its organized well. I feel very lucky that my school chose this as an option.

Absolutely no complaints for this book or the seller. Sad part is, I spent the money and never touched or needed the book! Sucks on my end but good deal, book, and seller.

Excellent textbook. There is a free online text but I bought the printed version off Amazon, as I like to highlight and write notes. It was a 1/4 the cost of a similar textbook. We used it in my AP 1 class at the local technical college. Used in tandem with the web version, this text provides a good overview of the subject. The book is hard bound similar to a regular textbook binding. One thing to note - the book is basically the web version printed out so there are a few blank pages where the web page was blank. Besides this, an excellent book and it was hard to tell that it was just a printed version of an online text.

I purchased this book for my anatomy and physiology class. There is a free pdf. file but I’m a type of person who prefer physical book to read for hours. The new one doesn’t ship to Thailand so,I looked for the used one and ..... This book which I got is totally new !! Perfect condition everything in this book is very new, no marks no highlights or in other words ,it’s a new book indeed. Thank you very much it’s worth to buy :))) I love it ! I originally got it for free online but hate reading from a computer screen. Im a hands on type of person and needed it in-front of me. It helps out A LOT! Definitely wont be disappointed and my money was not wasted!

Es gibt kaum Lehrbücher in dieser hohen Qualität und Ausführlichkeit. Die ohnehin seltene Kombination von Anatomie und Physiologie in einem Lehrbuch wird hier in einer didaktisch typisch amerikanischen Art vermittelt. Das bedeutet, dass ein Höchstmass an bildlicher und textueller Anschaulichkeit dargebotenen wird. Zugleich ist die Vermittlung sehr detailliert mit diversen Informationen, die auch in anderen guten Lehrbüchern fehlen. Das Buch ersetzt leicht andere beim Studium der Medizin in der sog. Vorklinik. Später eignet es sich als gutes Nachschlagewerk. Als Facharzt weiß ich das zu schätzen. Die reiche Bildauswahl und die sprachliche leichte Verständlichkeit zählen ebenfalls zu den Stärken des Buches. Das Stichwort - Register ist breit und sehr zuverlässig. Es ist für mich kaum zu fassen, dass ein Werk dieser Qualität umsonst als eBook erhältlich ist. Bei Bedarf bitte bedenkenlos zugreifen.

This is an excellent, thorough, analytic, well organized A&P text. Lots of explanatory, contextually informed presentations, illustrations. It is genuinely lengthy but if you want a more comprehensive informed and highly enabling text-based education on A&P, I don't think there is anything better. I personally would not be interested in the Kindle edition because the Kindle material is more difficult to follow, comprehend. With the hard copy, its more of an intellectual companion. You can study much more effectively, go back and forth by flipping pages, going back and forth making comparisons, dealing with content and comprehension as well as questions and interconnections. It's much more directly engaging. It's a little over $100, but well worth the investment. I personally do not know any of the contributors but as far as i am concerned this text , it is Quality A1. I've observed as well that , it also gets what I would term, phenomenal reviews when reviewers compare it what they consider top-level alternatives.
