Great meter with so many features!!
This meter has everything! Comes with 3 sets of probes! One set can be attached to the sides. Has a flip out stand, wrist strap, and even a magnetic attachment to stick it on a metal surface! Can test batteries and even the surrounding temperature. It has dual fuses, diod testing and the audio tone from is easy to hear. If you’re looking for a great meter at a low price then this is the one!

Great multimeter for home use
When my AC stopped cooling, I wanted to check if the run capacitor had gone bad. My existing multimeter didn't have the capacitor function. I bought this multimter to check the run capacitor. My AC has a dual run capacitor and the fan was working so I was not sure if the capacitor was the problem. On testing, the fan terminal read 4.79 uF and the compressor read 0uF. It should have been 70 uF. I ordered a replacement capacitor from Amazon and tested that one using this meter. The Fan read 4.89 and the compressor read 68.2 uF. Close enough . Indeed it turned out to be the capacitor and my AC started to work normal after replacing the capacitor. For that alone, it was well worth the investment on this meter. The display is very easy to read big digits. The auto backlight feature is useful. I tried the voltage and continuity and NCV functions and they worked properly. I haven't used other features yet. For the richness of the measurements it presents for the price, I highly recommend this one.

It's no Fluke meter.
This review is for the BTMETER BT-770M multi meter. 2-24 Let's keep in mind that we are talking about a $35.00 meter here. If you're expecting the quality of a Fluke, then you had better stop here and move on. Now, with that said, let's look at this meter. The meter was purchased because the Fluke had an issue, and a replacement was in need. The meter seems well enough made. Some of the features are nice, while others, like the lockouts on the lead connections, could become a PIA if the tool was used every day for multiple tasks. The selection dial is very hard to read, at least it is for this old guy. Many of the selections should have been covered under the " auto settings mode " instead of having to select from multiple options within the same test range. If there is one, I couldn't find a switch so that the backlight could be turned on. It seems that the backlight only comes on as the area around the meter darkens. " Photo cell " There's not really anything that stands out on this meter, other than it did have separate a mode for capacitance testing. That, and the temperature prob, were the main reasons that this meter was picked over many others. I do not expect that this meter will see much use, so I'm hoping that the meter will last awhile. Oh, the meter has already paid for itself by tracking down the bad resistor in the Fluke meter. That repair of the Fluke would have been quite expensive by the time shipping and all that was added in to a repair, if the Fluke was sent in for repair. So...is this meter worth the money, I'd say yes. I mean really, we are talking about $35.00 here, and let's face it, $35.00 does not go far these days. Is it accurate? Well, it went head to head with the Fluke and held it's own. Could it be trusted for building a rocket launcher...most likely not! If you're just starting out and need an inexpensive meter that covers many things, this is a good choice. Oh, this meter also has a port for testing transistors and such. Never seen that on a multi meter before, not that that means much. As always, if you're a pro looking for a test meter, or other such items... what are you doing looking at $35.00 tools? IMO, this meter is not intended for commercial use! Good luck.

Great multimeter for the money
I've used most of the functions, and so far, they are fine, and even measured some resistors and the readings are in spec. I bought this multimeter for home use, and I use to be an electronic tech. before moving into software engineering. I like the large readout and how the back light comes on even by shielding it with your hand. The auto ranging also works okay and the fuses are easy to get at. It uses the standard banana jack which is useful as I have many leads left over from my tech days that have heavier gage wire and gator clips. The meter side holders for the leads are a plus along with the magnet. The wrist strap is poor and easily broke, but that's minor. The supplied leads are a smaller gage then the leads I have, and I wouldn't measure very high voltage with them. So, if you are looking for a useful meter for general home use, I highly recommend this one. You can buy heavier wire like what Home Depot carries, and shop around for larger gator clips/jacks, and make your own leads.

Nice little meter and the temp option is a bonus
I got this as a backup/loaner meter for when my friends try to take my expensive Fluke. This one is a lot cheaper in construction but it works well and is accurate. It may not last as long as my Fluke but it is a decent meter and a good starter/traveling toolbox set.

I really like this meter, every thing works and you can’t beat the price. I own fluke and amprobe meters and they are very good quality but cost 12x +. So for the price these little meters do the job. I feel comfortable with the accuracy. I bought some other inexpensive brands in the same price range on Amazon but found this little meter had some advantages one being that it’s 9 volt and comes with a little case and magnetic button. I think the strap is good quality but a waste of money for the seller . Please incorporate the magnet into a less expensive strap that would better in my opinion. Well worth the price. I bought three for gifts. Thank you for a good quality meter for this price point, I haven’t found one better yet. Jason
