I have worked in vehicle body repair for years. I have never had an 'in line' disc cutter like this before, just the 90 degree standard style. The 90 style work great, but the control you get with this inline style is so much better for making long flat cuts and general use. I have already started using this more than my old style on my current project. This onyx brand has stood the test of time as I have other air tools by them. This particular tool is smooth running, and has plenty of power for general body repair. Highly recommended!

So far so good with this tool. I am using it to grind down butt welds on a automotive restoration. I have been doing a lot of grinding an no issues with this tool. I purchased a 4 year warranty to go with it so I am using this tool worry free. I would recommend this tool. I can't see the 3M belt sander being any better than this.

A great cut-off tool. I've owned a cut-off tool for 20-years that had the wheel coming off the end of the tool (perpendicular to the tool length). That tool would always want to kick to the side. This tool with the direction of cut being parallel to the handle is inherently more stable and far easier to use than the other style of cut-off tool. The small control in the handle to control speed is a nice addition. Blade guard adjusts easily. Great overall value.

The most annoying thing, in my experience, with cut-off tools is that most are hard to control. When the wheel is perpendicular to the tool then it's hard to keep it from grabbing and pulling your hand. But with the cutter rotating in the same axis as the tool it's much easier to control, allowing you to cut more accurately and, for body work, requiring less fill to join the panels. Excellent tool.

I had to cut down a tractor PTO shaft today and for those of you who have had to do it, you know how tedious it can be with a hack saw. This thing went through each piece, well, not like butter, but pretty darn fast and with the disc angle at 90 degrees to the work, it was easy to follow the scribe marks without wandering or worrying about the angle I was holding the cut off tool at. Because of the hardness of the shaft, I didn't rush the cuts so my compressor never really had to catch up to the tool and kept up better than expected. My compressor is a 26 gallon, 175 Max PSI, operating at 90 PSI, rated at 4 SCFM, but I'm running a 3/8 hose with Milton high flow fittings, so I'm pushing a little more air and this cutoff tool liked it. If you're using a 5 or 10 gallon compressor, this might not be for you, but if your set up is as good or better than mine, I think you'll be happy with this tool.
