Awesome customer service.
This works great. Love the versatility to move from the window to the tripod with ease. Grandson nocked the tripod over with my spotting scope on it. Broke the piece off the screws into the optics. Sent an email to Bog Pod asking where I could by that piece so I don’t have to purchase the entire window mount. They sent out a brand new window mount and not just that piece at no cost to me. Great customer service. Worth every penny I spent on this tripod.

Reliable and well tested binocular rest.
BOG makes a great product. I have used this binocular rest on many hunting trips and scouting trips. A definite must for finding game. Holds binoculars securely and firmly based on all types of weather conditions and terrain. Would buy again.

Good mount
It is a good mount, unfortunately I had to do repair work to it the first time using it. The brass indent pin came out and required to be pressed back in. Other than that, works as designed.

Works GREAT!!! A little heavy but a must have!
I bought this for a late season elk hunt, where I knew that I would need to be glassing hills from a long distance before heading in. I know that I wouldn't have been able to find the elk like I did without this. It allows me look through my binos hands free, which makes me much more steady. Once you are in position and let go of the trigger it holds steady and doesn't move. I've gone on two Javelina hunts in Arizona. These animals are so small that you need to be able to hold very still to find movement in the brush. The first hunt, I didn't have this and never glassed up a Javelina. The second hunt I had this and was able to find them. I have a hunt coming up in Texas for Aoudad and this thing is going with me!

Broke on first use. Does not work with Vortex.
This mount seemed pretty sturdy, initial thought when I opened the package was a positive one. Mounted my Vortex spotting scope and identified the first issue. The orientation of the pivot does not match the direction of the mount on the scope. Using the correct mounting location the scope will only tilt left and right, not up and down. It can be used, but not correctly, it will be loose on the mount and will not provide the necessary stability for longe range viewing. Second issue.. Brass retention pin broke right away. It’s a poor design considering all of the other reviews that mentioned it. should have bought a Vortex and never looked back. Now I won’t have a new one in time for my hunt and will be waiting on the return to get my money back. 1 star because product is poor quality and I have to scramble to try to find a replacement locally.

great add-on to Bog Pod
I picked this camera adapter up for my BogPod for a trip to Wyoming for Mule Deer and Antelope. I had also purchased a new spotting scope, and the BOGgear camera adapter worked great holding my new scope, a Kenai Leopold which is fairly heavy. The Bogpod held the scope very steady and moving it to see things was very smooth by squeezing the handle. I would highly recommend this as an alternate to buying a camera type tripod with the camera adapter, I believe it is more effective money spent, 2 tools in one, shooting sticks and a scope or camera holder.

Mount for Spotter is Wrong
For some reason the designers of this mount made the spotter attach facing 90 degrees the wrong direction? Not sure how this is not more common on reviews. The tilt feature will tilt the scope left to right and not forward to back. You are able to rotate the mount and make it work. Other than that it is very sturdy.
