Darksiders: Warmastered Edition - Nintendo Switch

This game looks fantastic on the Switch. There is a quest feel as you are moving to an end goal. The dungeons and various areas have tons of puzzle elements, and it reminds me of the puzzles that are such a staple of the Zelda franchise, from the things you have to figure out to advance in the dungeons of Ocarina or the shrines of Breath of the Wild. You REALLY have to investigate your environment sometimes to move forward or find the hidden chests and loot that appear on your maps. Also, the combat is slick and you have a ton of control on the Switch (I have a cheap third party wireless controller, but the game still plays so so well). It's intuitive and you feel like you are really in control of the character, which also reminds me of the Zelda franchise since I've always felt like the controls for gameplay in Zelda are the best, historically and in Breath of the Wild. It's an "apocalyptic" game with elements from Judeo-Christian scriptures and traditions (mostly traditions), and that is sort of overplayed these days. BUT, this game does have a unique take on it since you are War, one of the horsemen of the Apocalypse, and you've been sort of framed for started Armageddon too early. And the game's take on some of the traditional characters in apocalyptic stories like Samael, Uriel, and various other angels and demons (and other) are really interesting. Most importantly, in a game like this, you want it to play really well and look really awesome, and this game pulls that off fantastically. It's one of the best games I've ever played. I don't put it up there with a game like Breath of the Wild, but the action is so much better (especially the combat) than, say, various Assassin's Creed games. This is way underrated, I say 4.5 / 5 as an ARPG with a great main quest, tons of action, killer cut scenes, a good story, appealing graphics and look, and great gameplay and control. Great price, too, for what I consider a premium title. Take advantage of the lower price since the Switch is getting it years after the original release. Hope that helps.

Still a good game! It's got some rendering issues, but I imagine it's something to do with the port and not the actual game. It's as good as I remember it being though!

Amazing game, controls, graphics, story, difficulty and easy an underrated franchise. Although it’s NOT Biblical and Christian game….it’s definitely biblically influenced. I totally recommend Darksiders franchise to anyone and yes there’s NO additional download needed….everything is on the cartridge. Do know that there’s an update that’s not needed that’ll fix some bugs and issues but it’s not mandatory.

That happens a lot. You have a memory and you get a game to relive it and it's nothing like you remembered. This is a lot like I remembered, I just didn't remember it being so dark. Very, very dark. Lots of talk about demons, and devils, and hell. Would not buy for a child. Game play is nice, graphics are nice. Just the storyline is not what I remembered and not what I would pay this much for.

The game works great but Amazon needs to get there tracing system fixed

Runs very smooth on performance mode in both hand held and docked. Still looks very good graphics wise. High quality mode is ok but I did get slow down a few times and the graphics weren't that much better. Imo performance mode is the way to go. The game itself is really good. Smooth combat, fun enemies and ok story. I played it a bit on the 360 when it first came out and I didnt get into it. Having it on the switch is definitely great. I hope they port over the other two games.

I have played darksiders 2 and 3 but missed out on 1. Having long shifts at work, the switch has been the only way to get some gaming time during breaks. I only just booted the game but I am impressed with the port thus far. A more simplistic form of the darksiders seire being the first and all... this hack and slash game is fun and in my opinion good for this console. The price isn't too bad and the port is pretty impressive, so if you want to have some fun with interesting lore based on the four horsemen, give this one a try. Also my game didn't come with a black spine, shame I like the look but at least it will blend in with the rest of my switch games!

In my high school years, I was sad to find that being a Nintendo-exclusive gamer meant that I would be missing out on the Darksiders series. It was no surprise then that I was happy to see this game being ported over to the Switch and with its sequel, Darksiders II, also on the horizon for the system. It plays really well for a Switch port, possibly better than the PC port.

Este juego me gustó mucho porque puedes optimizar el tipo de gráficos en el Nintendo Switch, que se vea mejor o elegir el performance, la historia es muy buena y los videos se ven geniales, este juego es una mejora de los juegos que salieron en XBOX 360 y el PS3, pero si mejora mucho y corre en una portátil, si te gustan los juegos de aventura este juego es para ti.
