Marvel Thor Hammer Pewter Key Ring,Grey-light

I took a bit of chance on this one after reading a number of negative reviews about quality of the Thor's Hammer Pewter Key Ring. My own experience was very different than those complaints. The hammer is solid enough that you're tempted to use it for personal defense. (I'm only half joking - it has some weight to it). One side of the hammer's head reads, "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall posses, the power of... THOR" and the other side has the Marvel logo and manufacturing information. There's absolutely zero play between the hammer's head and the handle (they're tightly joined) and there's a surprising amount of detail to the piece. All of the dimensions listed by the vendor are off - in some cases by quite a bit given its small size. The hammer is just over 3" in length and the hammer's head is almost 1.5" across. If you stretch it out and measure it from extended clasp to the tip of the hammer, it's 4.5". That's 3+ x 1.5 x 4.5, not 3 x 1 x 5.5. It's also not 1.6 ounces; the hammer itself (without any packaging) weighs in at 2.4 ounces. While that may seem like nitpicking (as you're getting more hammer and less key ring than anticipated), it really makes a difference if you're expecting to actually use it as a key ring. I'm very happy with the purchase and the photos really don't do the hammer justice. It may be marketed as a key ring, but the hammer itself is actually longer than any of my keys. I haven't attached my keys to it and, given its size, quality, and solidity/weight, I'm actually thinking about hanging it from my rearview mirror instead. Since I'm a big Thor fan, I'm totally fine with that but I can't imagine that it would be anything other than extremely awkward if you tried to carry it in your pocket. I'm giving it five stars based purely on its quality (its very solid) and design (it looks really cool) but in practice, Thor's hammer was an odd choice for a key chain. That said, I would recommend it to any fan of Thor as it's a great piece at an inexpensive price.

Okay, i'll make the review simple and submit a picture. The item came perfectly wrapped and easy to open and have not had any quality issues. I know some buyers have said the hammer is not a solid metal construction. They're correct, it's two parts connected on the hammer itself but not detectable until you actively look for it. This in now way takes away from the quality construction or heaviness of it. It feels like a premium item, has weight, looks nice and I already had a guy at the counter who saw it try to "lift" the hammer and played around not being able to. I know they have a newer version wrapped in faux leather, but I wanted the pure metal design. The hammer has enough weight on it that it could possibly crack a car window and the two connected portions are not detectable unless you're picky and looking for it. They are both solid pieces and even has a small hook to add keystrings or another keychain.

Before I received this hammer, I was a basement dwelling low life nerdy guy programmer. But when the mjolnir deemed me worthy I transformed into a majestic being, soaring over the city condescending on everyone who does not posses the same magnitude of power as me. Women of all nationalities want me as all men from every corner of the world wants to be me. But serious: I like the hammer, but its kind of heavy for a key chain ornament, I would not recommend putting it on the same keychain as the key that you use to start your car ignition. As for the material that the key is made out of, its some kind of metal, not plastic. It seems to be very sturdy. One last thing it has ingraving on two side one side reads : "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy shall posses the power of Thor." The other side has the marvel logo.

Looks good with all the design details and the color

I'm giving it a 4 because it really has one problem it looks awesome it feels awesome the key chains nice and big we throw your keys as scuttle isil clip on it but the hammer unscrews from the handle just from wear and tear and that sucks Go my suggestion is if you using it as like a decorative key chain your gonna hang it on something or whatever this is the perfect thing for you and it has nothing to do with the seller it's the manufacturer if you're a Marvel fan it's a must have but keep in mind Handle does separate from the hammer and it looks like you can put it back together again

Ive purchased 2 already , the design is perfect , it is a heavy one so take that in consideration , it can take the scratches perfectly and looks amazin , I gave it a 3 stars because the head of the hammer eventually starts to wiggle until it falls off, so you will have a cool keychain for atleast a year (depending on your use) but again , is not that expensive and looks awesome , Im willing to get a few more

I could not be happier with this miniature Mjolnir replica. I was pleasantly surprised that it is even more impressive in person than it appears in pictures. It has an unexpected weight to it that comes from being cast in solid metal. It is elegant and detailed, and just plain fun to hold. I am the envy of family and friends who have admired the craftsmanship of this piece and requested information about where I got it. The one small drawback is that the opposite side of the hammer face is not part of the design of the hammer- it merely contains the Marvel logo and "Made in China" stamped into the side. That said, I still love the rest of this item enough to put up with that very small annoyance. I absolutely recommend this key ring, not only to Marvel fans of Thor, but also to lovers of Norse mythology. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

I bought this almost a year ago, and I still absolutely love it. I do use this for keys. It's very durable, well-made, and fun. It has withstood the trials of being thrown about in an overstuffed purse everyday and has survived having been dropped on the ground a few times from me not being able to weild it's power. Despite my hard use on it, it's held up very well, it only broke once, and the part that broke was the little ring that connects the hammer to the keychain part. That was quite easy to fix; just a pair of pliers and I was done. It's just a fun and quirky keychain. Great for Marvel fans.
