Merrell mens Moab 2 Vent Mid

I recently ordered the Merrell Men's Moab 2 Waterproof Hiking Shoe from Amazon. They arrived quickly via UPS, as promised. The boxing was perfect, and this shoe fits amazingly well. I am a "9" Regular, and these are exactly what I hoped for. The vibram soles are solid, the design of this walking shoe is excellent, with a lacing system that is solid but not too tight. The surface of the shoe feels terrific. I will be going to India in October, and so needed a good walking shoe that would also handle wet streets, some stony paths, some dirt and root paths. We do an adventure trekking tour in May as well, and I have my boots for that. But I needed something in addition to my hot day sandals around resthouses and hotels. These were on sale for $69.99. I looked around at other places, and learned that a common going rate was $129.99. So I am smiling at my find! I cannot comment yet on the wear and durability, because today is the very first day I've worn them. I will also be traveling to Ireland on a band tour in March, and will definitelyl have these on my feet. I would definitely recommend this walking shoe for situations of dirt, water, uneven surfaces, but for mountain hiking, I always prefer a mid-cut to protect for ankle twisting. 3 months old both shoes have failed!!! Merrell used to be the best brand made in the us.Now made in china, in order to warranty them you have to pay to ship them back to how knows where? do not buy . over priced china junk!!! Mite as well buy the cheaper shoes

I had a pair of Moab 2s that I wore for years. I love those shoes. Strangely, they were 8 1/2 M. This time, I had to get a 9 M to have the same size. There are lots of reviews that the quality today is not the same as the old ones. I'm hoping that is wrong and these last just as long as my old ones.

Bought these for hiking in our National Parks and Monuments. It really doesn't feel as though I have shoes on my feet, but extensions and supplements to my feet. The shoes feel as they are a part of my feet, with great tread grip, support and a foot stability that I have never known. I am in the senior category and couldn't be more pleased with my decision to purchase these shoes. I highly recommend them for comfort, performance and stability. Cant imagine that there exists a better product for my needs.

These are comfortable hiking shoes and that's why its the third pair I've purchased. I have a foot condition call Neuroma's (both feet) that are inflamed nerves that make walking very painful. I found that these shoes are the only ones that actually stop the pain as if it didn't exist. This pair is for work, my last pair is for hiking and the oldest pair is for yard work. Love these things. BTW Be aware that the older pairs I bought fit about 1/2 size larger than the stated shoe size but these newer modals fit true to stated size. Other people have found this also.
