Works great but remember to buy the adapter kit so you can hook it up to the new TVs

I love classic game consoles, it reminds me of my childhood mainly. This is a must have for any retro game collector, or hobbyist. My only issue was the controller I received had a worn down circuit board on the “B” button. Unfortunately this is one of the most used buttons in many of the games I play. It often doesn’t read a press, but overall it works quite well and I can still play and enjoy games despite this. For it being an original controller it’s expected to have a few minor issues so I expected this going in. Overall I would recommend this to anyone.

when i plugged it in to my tv it did not work. no matter how many times i plugged it in it did not work. my guess was that it said it was on but actually it was not. it looked fine maybe it was my games but it did not work

First of all I was a teen/highshooler in the 90s and I am sega genesis! lol. So needless to say: it's good to get the old system back again- However, I just got this ordered product: the Sega Genesis and parts - some of what I received in the package did not match the advertised photos.. 1.) mainly the photo for the controller shows the megafire controller- what i got was the normal one. so that's minus points there. 2.) I noticed that the ac power adapter featured in the photo advertisement for this product was NOT the kind that I received. The ac adapter i got has 2 cables for 2 different ac power connectors- the photo has just one cable. It does work but i had to mention the incongruity. if you're going to advertise with photos it's just best to make damn sure what you send is what was photographed. but yes! wired controllers and no damn thumbsticks! those were the days!

Just got the system. Plugged in the A/V cable into the back of the Sega and plugged in the rear cable into the A/V jacks in the back of my LCD TV. THERE IS NOW PICTURE. Hooked it up to another TV and the picture is scrambled. Update: So I I found out that HD LCD TVs have issues with the signal/resolution of the Sega Genesis 1. I ordered an upscaler/svideo to HDMI cable. Now it has a beautiful picture that fills the whole screen.

the item only came with 1 controlller would like another controller since 2 were supposed to be in the package thank you

Fast shipping the only bad thing was the wall plug in was broken in shipping, luckily I had an extra,very happy

Works great with games that dont work on emulators. Of course its the classic and best sega system.
