Fun way to make your toddler learn new words and enjoy reading !
My daughter is 1.5 years old and totally in love with this book !! Real handy for kids, the funny rhyming words makes it even more catchy for kids. She learnt a lot of words and relates with real world. Toddlers would relate with the book more as it talks about the routine things they would see around.. I am eagerly waiting to buy rest of Dr. Suess books and more than that can't wait to see how my daughter reacts to it !!!

Good for kids who can't are not into sitting down for story time
Absolutely wonderful book to introduce to kids who love rhymes but cannot sit through a story and wait for the plot to develop. My 2 yr old now turns the pages himself and mummbles the story along. As it isn't a long story and is disjointed in its telling, it's easy for him to get involved and read. 10 apples up on top us another favorite as it takes the next step towards conventional story telling

I want to give 20 Stars 😀
The best book I got so far for my 20 month old daughter. Initially seeing it to have 64 pages, I thought my daughter won't sit patiently to listen. But would you be believe me if I say we read it 4 times over in a single stretch. My God! She loves it! She picked up a lot of words like walk, stop, day, fight, pat, song etc

Must have for a new young reader
A must have for every kid when they start to associate words and learn reading. It’s simple and my 4 yr old can ready it on her own now. It’s funny too with very good illustrations and Funny too.

My wife purchased this book for our Kindergartener after she (my daughter) had requested it. She had seen it in her school library and was very excited to show us how funny the idea of "hopping on pop" (on me!!) was and that she could read some of the words. After we got it, she found that she was able to read the whole thing all the way through. She was so surprised and proud of herself! If you want to build confidence in your child and develop a love for reading-this is a great book. The reason this is so great for an early reader is pretty genius! The book starts off easy enough, with a couple of rhyming phrases per page (like; HOP ON POP, etc.). As the story moves on, the rhyming words are replaced (sometimes only by changing out a letter-as in H-A-T to C-A-T). While a simple idea, it provides a great learning and reinforcement tool for your child that is twofold: (1) your child learns new words by "building" on a previously known word by having to change the initial sound to match the new letter on the rhyming word, and (2) by showing them the importance of letters and their placement in a word to change its sound. The book is never overly difficult, but rather, perfectly paced for an emerging or first time reader. And of course, true to Dr. Seuss fashion, the artwork is engaging, wonderful and funny all at the same time. This is by far, my daughter's favorite book at the moment and she won't hesitate to offer to "read the whole book" to anyone who is willing to listen! She is developing a real love of reading from this. If you are a "pop" or know of one with a new reader, this classic is just the ticket! Definitely a winner for our family.

For anyone who has grown up with Dr. Seuss, this is one of the classics and one that often seems to get missed out of sets so seems to be a little bit rarer for some reason. It is particularly appropriate for the younger Seuss fans (not sure I can justify counting myself in that list any longer, but I still love the book).
