Amazon Basics 24-Inch Machine Washable Self Warming Pet Bed For Cat or Dog, Rectangle, Grey, 24"L x 20"W x 7"H

This pet bed is so unusually nice that I bought two - one for my dog's sleeping bed inside her crate, and one for her daytime napping and play area in the living room. She loves to leap from the pet bed to the sofa and back again, because this bed is unsquashably fluffy and bouncy. The construction is superior - tight seams and strong fabric and resilient stuffing. But I have one disagreement with the manufacturer: The standard wash and care label says "Do Not Wash". Nonsense. Whoever could have a dog bed that cannot be washed? And so I have washed both, twice, and they wash and dry beautifully. I washed them in a front loader on warm, liquid detergent, medium wash for heavy load, and high for spin. Then I tumbled dry on low for a hour. They come out of the dryer looking even better than when they came out of the box. I would never try to wash these beds in a standard center-pole agitator washer, however. Only a front loader which tumbles the wash. Highly recommended for dogs and cats. Sturdy, comfortable, and cuddly!

My 1 y.o. Pom mix puppy loves his new bed. He usually sleeps on my bed with me, but I am temporarily sleeping in a hospital bed as I am recovering from 2 major joint replacement surgeries; so, he frequently kept tring to sleep on my legs, which made it uncomfortable for me. Despite my love 4 my little guy, I needed a solution that allows him to be on my bed, without being on my new joints. This bed fits beautifully at the foot of my bed, between the bottom of my deep mattress pad and the bed frame foot board. And, it gives my legs a respite, while providing my puppy with a snuggly bed that offers him the security of being surrounded by the sherpa-like sides that feel like being wrapped up in mommy's arms. In fact, he is sleeping in the bed right now, sawing ZZZs. What better solution could we ask for? Though I couldn't comment on durability yet, the bed looks well-made and able to hold up to the rigors of a puppy. I'll try to update when I can comment on durability after we have had it for awhile.

UPDATE: These beds are still great! I have had four of these beds over the course of four dogs, and they all liked them, especially when the weather was cool. This is a sturdy bed that is better than the pet store stuff, and much cheaper too. The high sides provide plenty of support and snuggle down space; the bottom is well-padded for medium-weight dogs; and the beds warm up enough for an old dog's bones without a dangerous heating pad. I have washed mine in cold water and biodegradable detergent on delicate cycle with moderate spin, in a front-loading washer. I have also washed them by hand. They dry fine on low or spread out in a bathroom where it is warm. Even with washing, these beds last for a long time. I have no complaints about these beds and, if you read my reviews, you know that's a rare compliment. I like that this bed has high sides all around but that they’re soft enough that my senior pup can walk on them and they’ll squish down. She looks very cozy and comfortable. The only improvement would be if the sherpa material could be softer. She has a few sherpa blankets that are really soft but this bed material is a bit rough-feeling.

After donating the first six beds my mini schnauzer didn't like, I am thrilled to say he loves this bed!

I am happy with the bed. My Sawyer seems to love it and it's appears to be made well. I am going to order another one for my other pet.

I am really impressed with this pet bed. I've tried a few from Amazon sellers, and they were really thin--definitely not worth the cost. This time, I decided to try an Amazon Basics bed, since I've used Amazon's brands in the past with success. This bed is so soft and thick. It looks really comfortable, and my new puppy loves it. I highly recommend this! I got the tan color, which is darker than I was expecting. I thought it would really light tan (closer to white), which I wanted so I could easily see any pee spots. If you're puppy training (like I am), you won't be able to easily see that. You'll still have to feel or smell for accidents. I also want to note the size. It's listed as 35 x 11 x 27 inches. The kennel for my puppy is two feet by three feet, so the bed should have been a little too big. I was okay with that. I assumed I could squish it in with relative ease. It turns out this bed is a perfect fit, so the inches listed aren't accurate. We're only talking a couple inches, which is no big deal. But I did want to mention it.
