Great addition to my healthy bean brownies! Recipe included!
I am always looking to make regular meals healthier. I like to replace rice with cauliflower rice, replace white sugar with Stevia and use beans where ever I can. I used this sugar to replace half the sugar in a healthier homemade brownie pie recipe I have tweaked with the main ingredient being low sodium canned great northern beans. For all of you skeptics out there, don’t knock it until you try it. This recipe is one I found online however I have tweaked the ingredients and trust me: it will blow you socks off. Ingredients: 2 cans low sodium northern beans 1/3 cup cocoa powder 2/3 cup quick oats (keep whole or blend into a flour) 1/4 cup applesauce 1/2 tap salt 1 tbsp vanilla extract 1 cups sugar (half white/half agave insulin powder) 1 cup chocolate chips (half milk/half dark) Oil is to drizzle in (any oil works: grapeseed, olive, avocado, vegetable) Add all ingredients into a food processor and then on low. While on, slowly drizzle the oil into the food processor until the mixture is smooth then add in chocolate chips and then on high for a few minutes until everything is incorporated into a batter. Pour into a pre-greased 8 inch circle pan, cook for 25 minutes and then left cool in the refrigerator for 4+ hours. Slice and serve! It is best served warmed up with vanilla ice cream!

DIssolves easily, but you have to use a LOT of this agave inulin to actually sweeten anything.
I'm vegan, but never tried agave inulin, so this Super Organics Powder - Agave Inulin product was my first real rodeo with it. My experience with agave in general is that it's REALLY sweet when used as a sweetener, so I guess I expected the inulin to be the same. While this DOES sweeten somewhat, it's VERY faint, and I have to add a LOT of it to get my sweet on. This claims you can use it to substitute for sugar in baking, and while the texture is right for that, you would seriously need to probably add 4-5 times the amount to get the sweetness (or maybe more) closer to sugar. I tried this in some coffee a few times, and it DOES dissolve somewhat easily with a few swirls of a spoon. That said, I could not taste it at all for the first couple of scoops...and you can start to taste a very faint hint of sweetness at the third scoop...but nowhere NEAR the sweetness of a packet of sugar. Since that's a lot of product to be adding to one average sized cup of coffee (8 oz) just to sweeten it, this would not last long at ALL - and it starts to change the texture of my coffee in ways that I don't like as much, the more I try adding. I like the idea of this (low calorie, doesn't spike your blood sugar, vegan, etc.), but it doesn't sweeten stuff up much. I could barely taste anything at all just trying to take a lick of the straight powder off my finger. Depending on what you're wanting, this could be good or bad. YMMV!

Interesting option to try
I like that is not a strong sweet taste like traditional sugar, is more soft or settle. I'm not a big fan of sweet things, I like sugar but I can only eat so much of something sweet before I start feeling repudiated. But this sugar dont have that overwhelming sweetness, I try it with tea and coffee 1 spoon was enough. I'm not sure if it can be use for something else like making a dessert. Overall is a good option if you dont have a sweet tooth.

Not very sweet and a bit pricey
not nearly as sweet as sugar but still a clean sweet taste with no aftertaste. still very expensive as a sweetener and there are less expensive sources of inulin won't be buying again at this price

Sugar substitute
Oh my agave! This is a nice sugar substitute for those watching their sugar levels. Mind you, it's still technically sugar as it's fructose, but it won't spike your insulin the same way sugar (glucose) does. Can be used in drinks like coffee or a smoothie. It's sweet so I use it sparingly. I'm not a fan of other substitutes like Nutrasweet (chemically made), but this is different. This is derived from the agave plant. If you're looking to bake goodies with this just know you have to use a different quantity that regular sugar. Happy baking!

Sweetener? Really?
Not sure how this is to be construed as sweetener. She wanted it for baking - yet what we tried didn't turn out well at all, basically as it would've turned out had we not added sugar at all. Wetting a finger, getting some on it, tasting, you get the texture, but no taste. Not sweet. Definitely not something she's interested in trying again after wasting the time and ingredients with the first test. Sticking to things she knows works.

Honestly was afraid to try it - but now I love it
Ok, I got this to try because my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and we need to reduce sugar consumption. Honestly, this stuff weirded me out because the texture is like corn starch and I have tasted some NASTY “healthy” sweeteners (I’m looking at you, stevia, you disgusting thing). This was a very pleasant surprise. Out of the bag, just on your finger, it’s mildly sweet. It’s not a sledgehammer like swerve or Splenda. I used it to make keto pancakes and a blueberry sauce - the whole family loved it! There was no nasty aftertaste. My husband hates all artificial sweeteners and liked this a lot. Five stars and will definitely use this more often!
