Cheaper than the box stores and more for the money. Easy to install, similar quality and thickness to what in-store, easy to cut and fit into desired area, softness dunno about that but it aids with insulating between existing subfloor and the new one being installed.

For the price I can'r really complain. You get a good product for a fraction of what you would pay for a similar product from the big name stores. It seems to do the trick. I installed this upstairs and in the downstairs bedroom. I have two small children and the noise level is reduced. the attached adhesive strip helps also. It's enough to hold it in place but also allows you to move it around if need be. I really don't have any experience with any other underlayment but this seems to do the trick.

The contractor that installed the floor seemed to be happy with this material. It gave the floor a nice finished feel walking around. No extra noise with just a hint of cushion. Time will tell on durability and moisture repellent quality.

This product is NOT smooth so the wood flooring (laminate) doesn't sit completely smooth and level. All the crinkles, wrinkles and balls also result in noise when you step near an edge.

This product makes my luxury vinyl plank feel like it has a softer feel to it. Install your floor properly and this will treat you well. Ive installed 300sq/ft of this so far and no complaints. One sealed edge mates to the non-adhesive edge and lays out great.

Did the job but seemed that the top layer was not the quality of the larger 630 ft roll.

It comes with the tape, which saved time and money. Used in the basement under pergo floors. It gives enough caution and surves as a moisture barrier. Good product! Would recommend.

I selected this underlayment because of a requirement to dampen sound for flooring in our second floor unit, and because it said it would help correct minor floor imperfections. We didn't work too hard to make sure we created a proper moisture barrier, especially since the condition of the concrete pad we were laying the floor on was awful. We had to do a lot of work trying to arrest the decomposition of the concrete into sand. I should have used self-leveling floor prep, but I didn't want to take the time for such a small space. We used pool sealer and concrete patch. This underlayment did help account for some unevenness. In a few places, we used two layers, with a small section taped securely underneath the full roll. We are a month in, but it does seem like it has a nice feel to it, and it doesn't squeak or shift that we can tell. I'll update if anything changes, but i would buy it again. It was a good price and a good product.
