The quality of the dagger is excellent! It also is balanced, very sharp and I really like the grip. It’s at a good price point for a Gil HIBBEN knife.

I bought one of these knives years ago and have treasured it ever since. My grandson is also a knife guy (that apple didn't fall too far from the tree!), so I bought him one, too. This might not be an item to carry in the woods or in your boot, but if you like craftsmanship and shear beauty, any knife guy would love this and at a great price.

I was getting married and needed gifts for the Groomsmen. These guys have been around for a while and have all the tie clasps, cigar cutters, golf tools, engraved flasks, beer mugs, pocket knives, and so on that Groomsmen receive and never want. What should I get for the Guys who are standing up there for me?? Answer: A DAGGER! A foot long, double edged dagger with a wire wrapped hilt! Big Hit! My Best Man said this was the best gift he ever received. That comment alone made this purchase worth it. These daggers are of excellent quality and really cool. If you're looking for a gift to wow your friends, look no further. Also, you should get one for yourself. I did.

This is a nice knife, with a couple of minor complaints. When it came it was dull, and I had to send it out to be sharpened. A dull knife is a letter opener. Secondly, the guard is a little loose. Hibben usually shows better quality than this. It's a pretty knife, but I probably should have sent it back.

This is another great product from United Cutlery. It was designed by the famous knife designer and maker Gil Hibben. I bought it from the Amazon Warehouse as a used product. I am glad that I did. The only problem with this particular knife was a loose hilt. I fixed the hilt and saved a lot of money.

Just a pretty display knife. Came very dull. Have tried to sharpen but the blade material is junk. Have bought Hibben knives in the past and they were quality. The wire wrapped Bowie that I bought 10 to 15 years ago is a nice knife. Quality has definitely gone downhill. This knife is not a $60 knife. Maybe worth $12. Guard is wobbly and cannot sharpen. Won't buy Hibben knives again.

So disappointing, I’ve owned this same dagger several times over the last 20 years… this one is completely “safety dull”. The tip is rounded, the blade is unsharpened. The others that I have owned, and gifted were razor sharp with a needle tip. WTF happened? The newer made in china logo was a dead giveaway (sad) I will keep it and spend some time regrinding and honing it into a respectable blade. Given the opportunity again, I may as well buy something similar from the local smoke shop. Sooooo disappointed

This knife is really great. I wanted it for some time, and now I have it. It is not even heavy, but sharp.

You can see plastic under the wire wrap. It's almost worth returning, it looks nice on the picture,I wouldn't want to drop it ,it would break,thanks gill.

Okay, das Ding wird völlig ungeschliffen geliefert. Der Dolch ist wirklich nicht annähernd scharf, die Schneiden sind lediglich angefast, zwischen den Fasen jeder der 2 Klingen steht noch mind. 1 mm Klingenmaterial (s. Fotos). Für diesen Schliff würde Herr Hibben sich schämen, sofern er davon wüsste. Die Verarbeitung des Messers ist okay...chinalike halt ( s. Fotos). Der Griff ist eher für kleine und mittelgroße Hände gemacht, Leute mit Händen wie Schaufeln, bekommen Probleme. Was also, spricht für dieses Spielzeug? Das Design, das Design und nochmals: das Design! Das Ding ist einfach schön, perfekt ausbalanciert und liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Klinge, Parierelement und Schädelbrecher sind spiegelblank poliert, der Griff ist mit Silberdraht gewickelt, das alles strahlt pure Ästhetik aus und wer die Klinge schleifen kann, der verwandelt den Brieföffner aus der Spielzeugabteilung tatsächlich in einen Dolch. Der Preises von unter 60€, macht diesen Dolch zu einer Kaufempfehlung.

This knife is okay. The sides don't have and edge so i sharpened it myself, but it's pretty dull still. The handle looks nice and has an okay grip, but I really am satisfied with how the blade looks. It also took 1-2 weeks to get to me.
