Knight's Templar Masonic Sword
The sword is actually real nice...even though it's made in CHINA. Overall the sword is well made and it earns only 4 stars because of several flaws. The main problem with the sword is that the inscription reads 'In Hoc Sigud Vinces' the templar motto is 'In Hoc Signo Vinces' a major misspelling. The description reads pewter and it's actually antique gold. The White handle is more of an antique yellow. The carrying rings are poorly fitted but can be easily fixed with two pliers to close them up. You really can't compare this 'Chinese' sword to a Lilly or Armstrong...this one looks good but the blade is thinner and the scabbard construction is not as well made. Then again the scabbard is ornated on both sides making it real cool and being lighter it is easier to carry around for hours during a ceremony or competition. ...and now we have the price...awesome...all the other 'chinese' swords have the same misspelling (no one will notice) & cost more and Does Not include free shipping. The main reason it earned 4 stars.

Masons check these out! đđđ
Now this is what I am talking about. Righteous steel swords for the Craft! A little delay on arrival, but when this my last of ten came they were all awesome!

Itâs really bad. This isn't ceremonial grade.
Dislikes: As you can see in the photo, there is a random hole drilled into the visible side of the scabbard. All screws are on the visible side and they are sharp!!! Not only are the screws visible, they are off center and the careless construction damaged the scabbard. The last photos show some hard material coming out from under the âantique goldâ pieces. This makes me wonder what is holding everything together and question how long it will take for this particular sword to embarrass me by falling apart while in use. The sword itself is roughly what I anticipated except the blade was covered in a black waxy substance. It wasnât something understandable like a light oil, it was more like rubbing compound, maybe? As others have mentioned, the rings are not well aligned and need to be âfixed.â On top of all that, the sword rattles in the scabbard and itâs loudest at the tip. No other ceremonial sword I have used does this. I cannot imagine using this in a ceremony. Itâs noisy, itâs ugly and it will rip your uniform and/or any furniture around you. Classy, right? Likes: Itâs very inexpensive and that doesnât always equate to bad quality but for the sword I received, it had all the hallmarks of what Is decisively bad quality. Iâm sorry, I wanted to love it. I was excited about having the blade engraved but it just isnât going to âcut it.â Maybe at 1/2 this price I would keep it but I canât help but to look at all the carelessness in construction and ask why itâs SO bad. Would I recommend this to a friend? Absolutely not. There are competitors for slightly more money that Iâd try first. Amazon delivered and continues to support us in our purchases. Amazon was great.

... commandery use them and they seem to hold up fine. For the price you can't go wrong
I primarily bought this sword for parts to repair an old Knights Templar sword but other members of the commandery use them and they seem to hold up fine. For the price you can't go wrong.
