It’s better than I expected. It’s been probably about 20 years since I’ve owned a spyderco. I’m not a connoisseur nor a collector but perhaps an enthusiast. I have had a lot of really nice Benchmades, a few Case XX, and a couple Bucks and Gerbers as well as a few others.. I'm really love knives that are made in the States and good solid pocket knives. This is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Everything about it that the other reviews praise is true. It’s buttery smooth, razor sharp, comfortable in the hand (in several positions), and the fit & finish is superb. It’s easily as good of quality as a Benchmade that’s twice as expensive. And the G-10 is really grippy… that’s one of the main reasons I started looking. I have a Benchmade Bailout that lost some of its finish on the handle and it started feeling really slippery in my hand. It’s a feeling that doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence. I like the way the scales (which some people criticize) feel a little ‘blocky’ … because you can easily tell where the cutting edge is indexed. I’m really glad that I started looking for something new- new to me. I just discovered recently that Spyderco was making a bunch of knives here in the States…and they’re solid knives.

My favorite EDC - Stupid sharp out of the box. Size, quality, and fidget factor are perfect. Doesn’t carry deep in the pocket but whatever.
