Total waste. The app does all the work the device seems like a gimmick.

So, for the price, this is a very solid and well-built product. It's no heavier than one of those pop-up phone handle thi is, but it's metal and serves the same purpose. I've seen more expensive things that only served that purpose, honestly. The problem is that I can't find a use for it. Aside from having a bit of onboard storage, I can't find anything that it actually does. Everything goes through the app, which itself isn't particularly well organized and doesn't work as well as doing the same things just on your phone like normal. Even the cheapest modern phones do all the advertised functions better out of the box and don't need an extra piece of hardware for it. It does connect pretty solidly, though. And it's pretty unobtrusive. The recording quality is as good as the phone itself, which is already decent, so that's alright. I think something like this could have some interesting applications, but this is really just a phone ring with some extra memory.
