Best rain boots ever!
These boots are a must have! Not only are they adorable and loved by kids and adults. But they are so hardy and clean up like brand new over and over again. They are comfortable, easy for kids to put on and take off themselves, super lightweight. We are on our second pair and will continue to buy more! Don't miss out on these!!!

Order a Size Up, Extremely Lightweight and Easy to Put On
The rain has been unusually generous this year in California this year, and in the Bay Area it's been enough where sending the kids to school in rain boots hasn't been too bad of an idea. Unfortunately for us, this was the year that our son's Western Chief Kids Solid Firechief Rain Boot(Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid),Black,1 M US Little Kid decided to develop a HUGE rip in the back seam and cause a miserable leak in my son's right boot. I purchased that boot in Nov 2015 and it lasted one rainy season as stormaggedon 2015 never actually showed up and instead waited until 2016-2017. The Crocs Rain Boots seem to be a great replacement boot. First off, these are much lighter than other rain boots. True to Croc fashion, these are extremely lightweight and molded into one piece with no seams. The boots are comfortable for my kid to wear, and he loves that they're literally half the weight of his old boots. He's had no issues with leaks, and because there's no seams, it's unlikely a tear would happen. I have been keeping an eye out for wear, and despite daily use, many stomps through puddles, and running around like an ant on speed, the boots seem to be holding up quite well to my kid's use. Unfortunately, like all other Crocs, these have NO type of lining in them. This was not an issue for us as it's an easy fix - simply wear a thick pair of socks and your kid is good to go. Another issue is that these boots do tend to run on a smaller size. Based on other reviews, I ended up ordering a size up (Size 3 instead of Size 2) and the boots fit my kid well. I can imagine the Size 2 may have been a snug, but can't positively say as I didn't order two pairs for comparison. Either way, there is a little wiggle room for my boy to grow into this boot. For those who have purchased Western Chief boots, those run big - I would go a size up if ordering the Crocs. Overall, great lightweight rain boot for kids - I'll update down the line when these wear out and develop leaks - if any.

GREAT purchase - lightweight, easy to handle, not stinky
UPDATE (DEC. 2015): These are still fantastic boots and have held up really well. As noted in my original review below, we ordered these four sizes up because we wanted to get more use out of them. Now that our son wears almost a 10 (he's about a 9.5 right now), these boots are too small; we cannot get his feet in them. So, I would say they run about 1 size too small. Hope that helps. ORIGINAL REVIEW (NOV. 2014): I must've spent two hours one weekend looking at all the toddler rainboots on Amazon. Most seemed more than I wanted to spend; many would warn that the boots were deceptively heavy and/or impossible to take on and off; and some boots would appear perfect until that one review would mention how the heel separated from the boot after just a few wears. Then I found these. To be clear: at first, I cringed that these were Crocs. But they were a decent price, and so I took a gamble. So far, so good, folks! We are quite, quite pleased with these boots, and here are all the reasons why: 1) They are easy to put on and take off--the handles help, but the structure of the boot works, too. 2) They are SO lightweight compared to other boots. For comparison purposes, I picked up my nephew's (same age as my son) rainboots and I felt like I was carrying two little bricks. Why is this important? Your young'un can (theoretically) walk more easily in the boots if they're lighter and the heel is less likely to separate from the boot. 3) The boots have no lining or anything, which we think is great--you can just leave them outside for the night, or hose them down, and you don't have to worry about any smell. Some things to note: 1) Order several sizes up! We went up FOUR sizes and they are working out great. We cringe at having to buy new shoes so often, so any time we can cut a corner, we do. And the funny thing is, the size 10s actually don't look much bigger than his regular shoes at all when you look at the soles. And I've also read that these boots run small, so if it's for a cost-savings reason or for no reason at all, it sounds like ordering up is the way to go because these boots run small. 2) Though the boots are lightweight, it may take some time for your young'un to walk properly in these boots. Our son looks like a wounded cowboy when he walks around in these, although it gets less weird every time he puts them on... 3) Our color choices when we bought this boot were "sea blue" (which is what we bought), fuchsia, and carnation. We chose the sea blue, but it's really pretty much periwinkle, which can lean a little girl because of the purple tones in it. We're okay with that, and by the time our son wouldn't be okay with that, he'll have outgrown these boots. But I bring it up because I now see a yellow color that wasn't available, and I see that others in the past have ordered black, so be sure to check back frequently. In sum, this is a great boot that allows our son to do his favorite thing in the world: chase his dog through puddles and try to splash the dog (who also loves it). The boot is easy to put on and take off, is easy to clean, and appears to be enjoyed by our son. We will definitely be buying another pair when he outgrows this one--we hope in a "boy" color!

Very comfortable. The built in sole is shaped for the foot unlike nearly all other Wellies I checked in the local stores. Both my kids love these and they say they are comfy. The handles are great when the kids get them on themselves. Definitely worth it in relation to the cheaper ones we have had before.
