Love the feedback from the analysis. Gives you drills to improve what you are lacking in the swinging range. Helped my daughters swing immensely! As a former college softball player, I wish I had this tool when I was younger! And as we all know, our children rarely listen to a parents critique. This tool shows what is/isn't consistent with a swing, with evidence!!

Ok so first off, I almost returned this thing because the reviews scared the hell outta me being an android user. Using Samsung phone A71 5G. I'm a very technical person, and right before it was too late to return I decided to open it up and give it a try risking possibly not getting full value for it since it was opened. I charged the thing overnight, downloaded the app, paired it, ***important*** Updated The Firmware for air swings, and then turned my daughter loose with it at her travel ball team's winter workout this evening. It picked up everything!!! Even when she was 70 feet away from me. It sorted the air swings from the hit (actual contact) swings. I really want to get an older iPad with iOS 14 to really unleash this baby, but the android phone will do for now. I'm not sure I we really need to pay for the subscription at this time, although it did come with a free 30 day trail which we have yet to start. Did it loose connection? Yes but only because it would disconnect when it wasn't being used to save power. As soon as she'd pick the bat back up, I'd go to the sensor page in the app, tap to connect and it would immediately, every time too! All in all pretty decent metrics for the free version, and really stable. I think the firmware update made a big difference in comparison to other reviews. It's not like it has a call to action prompt to update the firmware. It only asked when I tried to turn on air swings. Definitely gonna recommend this for test of the team.

Great tool

Really do like the product, was very easy to set up and sync to iPhones. The device is light and easy to take on and off of the bat and has proven reliable so far through a lot of use. The app allows the user to focus on a single metric or use their blast factor (which uses a percentage of specific metrics to create one metric) to work on an optimal swing. It also can record a video of the swing which when matched up to a swing and metrics provides visual feedback. Finally, the measurements do seem accurate, based on visual observation and ball reaction when used at the diamond with soft-toss. For the most part, my 12yo travel ball player uses it in between practice and lessons to keep sharp and avoid developing bad habits on the tee or soft toss. A few items I don't like: There is no way to separate metrics by user. You can update bats which in theory could help you identify a separate user, however, at the time of writing this review, without purchasing the upgraded app you can't sort metrics based on bat. Also, while there are optimal ranges and explanations for each metric, there is little information on how to improve the each metric. Additionally, only some metrics are available with the free app, to get them all, once again you have to purchase the upgraded app. Overall I'd recommend for the serious fastpitch player and am happy with the product.

The blast lasted for two weeks and would not sync or turn on. Contacted manufacture and was told they tried to troubleshoot and reset. Didn’t work. Was advised to return the blast via a postal label they provided and the replacement blast would be sent after receipt of the 1st blast. Meanwhile the process can take two weeks. This thing is not cheap and her coach was not happy. Mailed the blast and it took a week for them to receive..Sent countless emails and status tickets, called and no one replied to any of them to provide me with an update. I finally called again and left a message. Received a return call that the blast was received that morning and I would receive an email on a status. Well I did receive an email, a blank one that looks like it was a spam email. Received another email two days later with my tracking info. Finally received the blast about 4 days after the tracking Information. Registered the new blast and completely charged it and guess what it didn’t want to sync to the blast app. Followed all the flipping over and up to wake it up and it just wasn’t turning on. Frustration grew. I didn’t call the manufacture this time. The next two days I tapped, plucked and proceeded to flip and finally it synced. Well in the process of my child hitting, the blast app kept saying trying to locate the blast, blast located(not sure correct terminology) so after 39 swings my child realized none of them were captured. I took the blast to a place that sells blast and he told me it happens alot but showed me a get around/technique. Haven’t had a problem since but of course it’s only been 4 days so we will see.

Only had it for a couple weeks but I love it and so does my daughter. It has caused her to want to go to the cage and hit more often just so she can compare sessions. The stats are great and the immediate feedback awesome. If there is such a thing as being able to purchase motivation, this is the tool. And we're already seeing the difference in her swing because now she can see her swing and break it down to various components.

We have these for both of our kids. One baseball and one softball. This works great fir our 12u softball player. Swing metrics are recorded and we can go back through and break everything down, see what’s happening and plan an action to fix.

User guide was not included. A subscription is required and is over $100 so add that on to whatever you spend on it. I still haven’t gotten to set it up for my child because it took two days to figure out how to do that because there are no instructions, even on the app. Hopefully it’s worth it, but for $200 you might be able to pay someone to help you
