What type of carbon steel?

I have not found a source that catigorizes the type of carbon steel used by the company.. but I agree with most user comments internet wide that claim the blade takes a sharpening well and holds its edge well.

Is this the larger douk douk?

I am only familiar with 2 sizes of conventional douk douk, and this appears to be full-sized "normal" douk-douk, not the mini douk, if that's what you mean. You can buy the standard size one in several finishes, and a spear-point "Squirrel" model the same size, and all models (I believe) can be bought as a "mini" version, which is much smaller. They are harder to find though; the mini version of the classic douk is the easiest to find, but I've seen mini Squirrels and Tikis advertised on French knife websites for like twice the cost of the standard blades. I think I've seen a jumbo novelty douk as well, but it would be obvious if that was what this was.

What's the trick for closing the blade?

the knife does not lock- it has a very strong backspring and a half stop. grip folded steel side of handle firmly. grip back (spine) sides of blade firmly. keep fingers out of path of closing edge of blade. close (fold) handle and blade together. some say moving the handle toward the blade is easier than moving the blade toward the handle.

Does this come with a sticker, picture of Douk-Douks, and/or box?

Mine did not come with a sticker nor a box. It was packaged in plastic bag with a stock keeping label. I have to say it is one of my favorite folding knives.
