Works great
Great stuff a bit expensive but works well after you shock the pool add this with it and it removes stubborn black algae.

Pool Maintenance Game Changer
This is a game changer for algae in our pool. It cleared up our pool in a few days. Easy to use, easy directions, works really well

Works well for me
I’ve usually used it in the summer, and it does a great job when used in conjunction with chlorine. This winter I tried an experiment; I added about half the bottle to the pool in late November. It’s now mid February and the pool is still quite clear. Pretty remarkable, and this with no chlorine added. It should make starting the pool up a lot easier.

this stuff is the best algaecide i have ever used.. and i have used many of them
When i opened the pool in April, the pool was dark green with about 12 to 18 inches of visibility. Water samples were green, even 2 inches of water in a white bucket was lime green. I poured the entire 64oz bottle into the pool (33,000 gal) with the pump running. I also dumped in about 9 lbs of baking soda and 3 lbs of soda ash; the PH was below the bottom of the testing scale and the alkalinity was around 25 ppm (2 drops of taylor #0009) i saw a difference about 24 hours later and the pool was cloudy white in 36 hours. One normal pool shock later, the pool was crystal clear in 4 days from opening. There was a bit of foam for 2 more days, but that went away. This algaecide is the best i have ever used.

I wish these companies would tell the whole story!
When it comes to eliminating algae, you're not going to do it without CHLORINE. No matter the product, you're going to need to raise your chlorine to shock level and keep it there. Then, add this product. This is discussed in the instructions that you may read only after you've purchased this product or may never read, dump this product in your pool, and then be annoyed because it doesn't work. Don't even get me started on the "yellow" products. At least when compared to the "yellow" products, this one still allows for an accurate chlorine reading after its been added to your pool and you don't have to drain your pool to get rid of it. Overall, I do like the products this company offers but wanted to provide full discourse for them on this one. I hope this review helps someone out.

Finally Something that Works
My pool turned green in late July and it was still green in September. I maintained proper levels, shocked it several times, vacuumed, partial flush…. Nothing worked. I stumbled on this product and decided to give it a try. I shocked the pool and added the full bottle to my 33’ above ground pool. One week later my water was finally getting clear again. Granted, I had a lot to vacuum out of the bottom of the pool but it finally worked. While I hope to never repeat this problem I would certainly recommend this product to others. Just remember it works in combination with chlorine so shock it when you apply it.

Save your money and buy something else this doesn't work
With the economy in the toilet and car prices through the roof The most expensive place you could ever want to visit is the supermarket You have to be very careful about what you buy This product that I purchased was supposed to kill algae I ran the pump for 8 hours before using the product The pool is Crystal Blue I just had some light forms of green on the surface of the Diamond Bright finish it's a 20,000 gallon swimming pool so I use the whole bottle but before I used the bottle I scrub the pool to get the algae off the surface This product did absolutely nothing I waited 12 hours and I scrub the pool again and all I got was clouds of of white powder you couldn't even see the bottom of the pool Two days later still algae at the bottom of the pool I've added two and a half gallons of 12% chlorine right before using the product and I use 12% chlorine today if you want to save yourself some money buy something else Because this product doesn't work I purchase something from Lowe's and I poured it into the pool and within less than 45 minutes You could see it cleaned everything you could watch it it was like a wave that came from the right side of the pool to the left side of the pool and everything was completely clean There was nothing left on the surface that even resembled any form of algae or green and I want to make one thing clear this pool was Crystal Clean and blue it just had a surface amount green algae in spots One true and honest review

Algae Napalm
Last year, after going through several bottles of several products I got a gallon of this stuff. Well, it took care of the algae...within 24 hours. All the other stuff, not so much. This stuff, well it worked so well, it made you kind of scared to get in the pool...like your bathing suit might dissolve or something. Now, was it the Algatec or the combination of stuff I threw in there in a frantic attempt to get rid of the algae? Don't know, but it rid me of my problems last year. So, yesterday, we pulled the cover from our pool and...well, since we were a tad slow in shutting it down in the fall (the wife hated to close the pool...raise your hand if this sounds familiar) and there was an accumulation of leaves from before we covered it and a decent amount of algae (even though its not May yet). Pool was a tad cloudy getting the leaves out and the only way to figure where they were was the darker spots in the bottom. So, I double shocked it and tossed what was left of the Algatec in there. The next day...clear pool, lots-O-floating dead algae. Your mileage may differ, but for me, this stuff is Algae napalm. I won't be buying anything else. This is the stuff. By the way, chlorine pool with DE filter, if that helps and all that. Hard water on the acid side.
