Liszt Masterpieces for Solo Piano: 13 Works (Dover Classical Piano Music) Review: Has the famous pieces from Lizst, nice binding, yellowish pages - Most of my piano collection book is from the publisher Schmirer, and here's my comparison of this publication vs Schmirer. Print quality: good. The notes are large, easy to read. I really like at the bottom of each page, the piece title is listed. This makes sorting through the book easier. For comparison, I have Schmirer's Ultimate Chopin collection (a hefty ~800 page compendium), which lack this, making it difficult to identify which piece I'm looking at without further scrolling. Binding: good. This is sewn binding (actually says on the cover). Feels durable and I've no issues using it. This feels sturdier than the Schmirer paperbacks I have, which I feel has a tendency to fall apart at the bindings if I had excessive use. Piece Selection: excellent, have all the famous pieces I'm looking for. Editing: good (but I'm not an expert). The fingering suggestions are present and make sense. By comparison, I've a performance edition of Beethoven sonatas, and no finger markings can make some pieces a bit harder to learn. Cover: good. The covers appear to be waxed paper and should last better under usage. For comparison, the Schmirer paper backs are plain paper cover, which would not hold up as well to wear and tear. Other thoughts: This book is thinner than I thought. Unlike Schmirer, which usually pack many additional and less well known pieces into their publications, this one has exactly the famous ones you're likely looking for. The pages are yellowish instead of white like you get from Schmirer / copier paper if you self print form IMSLP. Not a big deal. Just something to note. Final Note: if you're interested in Lizst pieces, you should get a book (this one or another). I printed music off IMSLP before, and not having large bindings in a book format really makes reading difficult. Plus sorting the pages is no fun. Really, a book just more professional, easier, and worth the money. Review: Excellent compilation - True to its name, great selection of pieces here, although there may be lesser known Liszt works that are not included, this is a great book of scores for artists who are just starting to dabble into Liszt works or who only want to play his most famous pieces. Enjoy!

For advanced musicians
This was a very nice book, but the pieces are very advanced. I bought as a gift for an intermediate pianist who enjoys this composer; but the music was too difficult, so we returned the book. It would be great for someone who is an advanced or professional musician.

Superior
Excellent edition. Pages stay open and notes are clearly legible. There are hours of music for an excellent price. Pages are a little fragile but not cheaply made. If you take care of it this book will last a life time

Profi Format, klar gedrückt. Gute Papierqualität. Ich habe es erworben, weil es 3 interessante Pieces drin sind: Un Sospiro, Liebestraum no.3, und Consolation erhält. Schnelle Lieferung.

Hard to read, fingering isn’t enough supported. Like imslp.org’s quality
